You still need canary or modded magisk but instead of installing stubs for magisk hide, I just uninstall the magisk manager after granting root and using magisk hide on the apps that need it.

In the telegram channel it says "based on MiUI vendor" but in the OP at the top here you mention to wipe vendor (never ever a good idea) and you don't mention to flash MIUI vendor. I believe that's going to get a lot of people into some trouble trying to boot a ROM without a vendor installed.

If your ROM boots without gapps or with another set of gapps then you don't need to format. If you get a bootloop with bitgapps then just reflash the ROM and let it boot then go back and flash bitgapps. Works every time. Sent from my Mi 9T Pro using XDA Labs
