    Post [AOSP 9.0] [2019-08-25] Phh-Treble

I know about that, but I was asking about the GApps version (if they have NexusLauncherPrebuilt pre-installed), as the system image is only barebones AOSP (I know I can install it, but I was just asking)

Post Win 2 Honor 20 Series - Beta Tester Recruitment [Open to All Countries]

There's no better tester than me I am a heavy critic and I strive for perfection everywhere. I can't bear a little bug and would do everything to get rid of it. Aesthetics mean a lot to me, and I have a strong sense of design. If products don't meet my expectations, they're trash. I have...

    Post Lineage Os?

Kernel to be open-sourced by the end of this month My estimate is that the kernel will be open-sourced around the 20th of May, hopefully. I've got all the gear ready to build a custom ROM, for a Redmi device, for the first time. I'm looking to build Lineage (but I don't know whether I'd...

Perfect phone at the perfect price, but It's a fantastic phone with almost everything that a phone will deserve at this price point. Thread Does the AOSP 9.0 GSI have camera2api enabled by default?

Hi there, I came across phhusson's GSI for arm64 a-only and am looking forward to flashing it. But the question is - is camera2api enabled by default so that I can run GCAM? Regards, SN

    Thread Which GCAM to use?

All right, I unlocked my Redmi 7 [onclite] and now I need to enable camera2api and install GCAM. Can anyone guide me on the same?

Post What is the most stable GSI for this phone?

Just so far I'd say :silly:! When you start getting random pesky ads, your first action would be to search for a custom ROM! (BTW, I'm on a Redmi 7, and am waiting for custom ROMs)!

Post How to add SuperSU to system.img?

Don't try SuperSU right now. It's support has ended. Get Magic, and flash the patched boot image with ADB. Seems like the only option. I added SuperSU to the custom ROM by mounting the image on *nix and then adding the su binaries and chmod a+x on su

    Post [ROM] DotOs-v2.5-OFFICIAL [O v8.1] for Samsung A5 2016 [A510XX]

What about now? Is it still not booting? That's weird! I restarted my phone thrice, kept an alarm and then dozed off, it all worked well! I think you should do a factory data reset. Or maybe reflash the ROM? If you still face issues, you can revert to stock

    Post [ROM] DotOs-v2.5-OFFICIAL [O v8.1] for Samsung A5 2016 [A510XX]

But why would you wan't to theme after flashing a custom ROM!? But still, try substratum, would work pretty great, you may also try Xposed which is in beta, but may still do the job for you. Also you don't need root for all the substratum themes, because some of them work without root.

    Post [ROM] DotOs-v2.5-OFFICIAL [O v8.1] for Samsung A5 2016 [A510XX]

True, the ROM booted perfectly for me and I got everything working. No issues at all. I think bunny's right, you should re-flash it. Also TWRP for A5 is official and I've linked the latest TWRP if you want from here (with Odin) or this image.

Thread Flashed custom ROM now can't revert to stock

Yeah yeah, I know I didn't do a Nandroid Backup before flashing the custom ROM. But saying that isn't too much a help now - is it? Thread How does GSF detect a device?

Let's say I have a Pixel, how would Google know it is one? Of course the old days are gone, the build.prop is no longer a big deal, because I've tried out a couple of tweaks on my devices (A5, Nexus 6P, Pixel C) and Google would easily detect that it's not a device as defined in the build.prop...
