Thread Enable USB Debugging (Install via USB) on Redmi phones without signing to Mi Account?

I am reposting this question here because this issue doesn't seem to be single device specific but applies to all (Xiaomi) devices, especially recent ones. ---- I am trying to debug an android app using my Redmi S2 phone (android 8.1) but there is a problem. Even though I can enable USB...

Post Bricked Redmi S2 doesn't unbrick even with the EDL method

It seems almost practically impossible that a smart-phone gets "suddenly bricked", especially for a quality brand like Redmi. I've seen my fair share of phone usage and even rooted a few phones. In my experience (and reading on Mi forums), an attempt at rooting or unlocking of bootloader is...

Thread Enable USB Debugging (Install via USB) on Redmi S2 without signing into Mi Account?

I am trying to debug an android app using my Redmi S2 phone (android 8.1) but there is a problem. Even though I can enable USB Debugging in developer options, I am unable to enable "Install via USB" checkbox. It asks for a Xiaomi account which I don't have (and don't want to open). As per this...

Post Disable system apps without root (even those with disabled Disable button)

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. Even on Marshmallow, the hide and unblock commands don't work, so this is probably the only way to get rid of bloatware. But the uninstall command is a bit dangerous since the changes are permanent, is there a way to get the app back once uninstalled?

Thread Is there a way to grant myself MANAGE_USERS permission while inside the adb shell?

The thing is that I'm fed up of some stock adware apps on my Micromax phone and want to disable them for good. So, as per this Android SE answer, I used adb shell to disable the app, but I'm getting the following error: [email protected]:/ $ pm hide com.micromax.trendingapps Error...

Can you please explain the rooting process for this phone? I've been unable to even root yet. However, for changing the UI, you don't need rooting. You can install any of the Launcher apps from play store such as Nova Launcher or the Google Now Launcher.

I have a rooted 8" KitKat tablet on which I want to install debian on a chroot using linux deploy. Since you seemed to have tried everything, the only thing I could have told you was to try a different miflash version.
