What he said. The ROM you installed only contains software. It does not contain any firmware. You must update your firmware independent of installing a custom ROM. The only time software and firmware are updated at the same time is with either a RUU or OTA update.

Read the first few posts of the LeeDroid thread. To use an Oreo ROM you must also be using Oreo firmware, otherwise, your phone will not function properly.

What's your firmware version?

Your firmware isn't for Oreo, for starters. Your main version indicates you're still on Nougat firmware. Go back and read the first few posts of this thread and start over.

If you make a backup of the stock kernel, yes. Otherwise you'll need to dirty flash whatever ROM you're using to reinstall the stock kernel.

Follow the instructions at the beginning of this thread. This mod is flashed via recovery. Within the same mod, there is an option to remove the mod and go back to stock.

Correct. I was referring to pre-Oreo versions of the ROM.

No, this is a ROM. The ROM does include a custom kernel built by another developer, and the tweaks app inside the ROM allows you to change some settings in the kernel.

I wouldn't think that merely changing the battery would cause you to lose your data, or why they would do anything to your phone that would wipe your data from the phone.

Can you charge the phone up and get the phone to boot to TWRP? If so you can mount your phone to your computer and back up all of your files on your internal storage to your computer.

Have you tried a different USB cable & charger? There have been numerous reports in these forums concerning charging issues with the device. If you've cleaned the USB port on the phone and have tried multiple USB cables and chargers, then most likely your battery is the culprit and needs to be...
