You need to increase the brightness on lock screen to get it work, else use pin or pattern like me.

Why every custom rom has brightness issue on k20 pro? Even on pie also. Screen automatically brighten when you open lock screen.

I had the same prob on havoc, i had to fastboot the stock rom to get back the pop up down. That strange thing but we have to do this.
