Chainfire, will the newer updates work on Xperia Z3 running 5.1.1? There is no changelog saying this version is only for 6.0 etc.. I installed the 2.67 last time and my phone bootlooped... I'm not going to update from my 2.66 unless I see some changelogs that makes me feel safe to install newer...

Nope, didn't work. Did overwrite the one from flashing, still crashing. Then made the folder and set the standard permission for the folder in system/app with the 755/644 permission, still crashed. Tried the White Balance from my Z3, still doesn't work.

When I used the Z1 there was mods to make the audio volume higher. :) Does this work or doesn't it? Is there a newer mod for Z3 or other devices?

Anyone know why the SmartSearch needs to be running on the phone? :( Did remove several apps from the Z3 and I just found the cause for the Contacts not responding. SmartSearch is the toolbar on the Homescreen right?

Well there is nothing wrong with the original SystemUI, tested several times. But after I have copied and overwritten the SystemUI with the modified .apk... The phone behaves not normal. First my dialer didn't work, thought there was a corrupt system after removing bloatware... Now I did replace...

So it works on the Z3, but the dialer doesnt work and shuts down. I couldnt restore back to the original UI so I needed to reinstall the firmware. Don't install this until Sony releases it or there is an .apk avaliable.

I didn't get it working again, so I removed all data and reinstalled the rooted firmware for my device and just did a backup with the mybackup pro. Somehow there was something with the system or the data, but it works now. :)

Got the same crap... It's been 2 days now with the Store stuck on downloading. I have all the latest updates, Store, Services etc. Also tried to disable the security section like Enterprise. Nothing works.... This is driving me mad!!! Anyone got a fix?

Yes, it wont help at all, the only way is to make a full copy by rooting 23.0.1.A.2.93 + Recovery or use an adb backup on this firmware. But I cant find that software again and would like to have a firmware from my region in case I need this firmware to root.

Only seen two firmware from 4.1.2 (shipped firmware on device), is it possible to make a backup of the ROM from device and make FTF? Tried SimpleADBBackup, but only make a non-flashable file.

Been looking at this [ROOT][SGP351/321/SGP311][4.3] Update to 10.4.B.0.569 [UB/LB][XZDualRecovery][12/29], and followed the guide.. Did it from a 4.2.2 firmware.. but the device uses 1 minute to shutdown. I would like a PROPER detailed guide if and when rooting 4.3 version on SGP311 (WiFi-only)...

This is a messy guide... And also when powering off the SGP311... it freezes for like a minute then powers off!...... I rather wait for a proper rooting method than this, if this is the only solution then i rather have stock unrooted device.

The 4.3 is avaliable so if you use OTA or SEUS you get it. As for rooting, it doesnt avoid your warranty unless you remove the root and install a clean version when you deliver the device for repair or replace it. Only thing that avoid the warranty is unlocking the bootloader. Keep your .257...
