I updated to 3.1 and 3.2 by flashing the update.zip and did NOT lose any data on either flash.

After updating to 3.2 with root, I tried USB Mass Storage Watcher OTG and first it complained about an old version of busybox , then after it updated busybox, it would just FC when I plugged in a flash drive.

GPS is one of the biggest reasons I chose the Xoom. The wifi version has a TRUE GPS chip onboard. It's not assisted (rofl) gps, nor cellular triangulation, but a real gps chip and you don't have to buy the 3G version (cough icrap cough) to get it either.

NO USB, NO HDMI ports on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 means no video out and no keyboard/mouse for easier input/navigation. I really like the fact the Xoom has a true GPS on the WiFi models. That feature seems to be missing from the Acer and Galaxy Tab 10.1.
