    Post Android M Developer Preview

Anyone have any trouble with Google Play Store force closing? It worked fine for a few days after installing M preview 2, but then it started force closing whenever I attempted to install or update an app. I tried clearing data and cache for the app, for Google play services, and all other play...

    Post Android M Developer Preview

ElementalX is a custom kernel, which works great with Android M. You'll need a custom kernel to install SuperSU and get it working. Without it, you'll most likely get a bootloop.

Post Moto 360 Steps Showing Higher and Then Lower Next Time

I've been seeing a huge fluctuation in step count when I wear it while doing situps. The fluctuations have ranged from ~5k to 100k. I see "normal" counts while doing other exercises and activities. Weird. I've tried resetting the watch, but still see it. This started happening after the last...

Oh man, I'm loving the 4.4.4 update. It's running silky smooth without any lockups or battery issues of the previous release. We definitely have a winner here.

    Post [ROM][4.4.4] OmniROM - Wingray - bigPart

I found I had to reflash supersu after doing the OTA update. No biggie, just required an extra reboot. Still, I'm very pleased with how smooth it went. Great job.

    Post [ROM][4.4.4] OmniROM - Wingray - bigPart

OMG. I'm so happy. I was about to give up on my Xoom. Now it's got KitKat 4.4.2. A huge thanks to Schischu and the BigPart team. This is so sweet! The install went smooth, and the only issue I saw was the TTS crashing (as mentioned in the install notes). I'm loving how fast this ROM is. Again...

I tried flashing the 4.4.2 update using TWRP. The flash failed with the error, "set_meta recursive: some changes failed ". This was an attempt from a stock 4.4.1, rooted. I ended up successfully updating by flashing bigxie's Rom, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557523 The...

    Post 4.4.2 wtf

I attempted to update from 4.4.1 to 4.4.2 using TWRP (2.6.3.4). It failed with "set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed" error. I assume at this point I'll have to reimage using the stock.img and redo? NOTE: I even tried it with ClockworkMod 6.0.4.5, but got the same error.

Post KitKat 4.4.2 is here! 12/9/2103

Interesting. I'm seeing the same issue with Pulse. Maybe it's having trouble determining the screen size? I've changed my DPI to 445, but I didn't test Pulse before changing it. I'll have to try it at the default setting.

I did something similar this using the Satechi Universal Smartphone CD Slot Mount It's got a nice flat surface and the nexus 5 official charger fits it nicely, sticks to well. The clamps do stick up slightly so I set a piece of plastic under charger raise it a bit. The clamps hold it just...

Post Just got 4.0.4 update on T-Mobile HTC one s check for update

This is one sweet update. Increased speed and battery life is much welcomed. To install the OTA, I re-installed the original build.prop, did a temp unroot, and installed the stock recovery. The upgrade went smooth. I re-enabled root, installed my build.prop tweaks, and loaded TWRP, so I'm good...

    Post [ROM][JB] Team EOS 3 *JELLYBEAN* Nightlies - Wingray / MZ604 / WIFI ONLY

I've been having an issue where the notification area becomes unresponsive. I've seen this since v141 (the 1st EOS version I started using), and am currently on v144. Post [ROM][JB] Team EOS 3 *JELLYBEAN* Nightlies - Wingray / MZ604 / WIFI ONLY

I just got on the EOS JB bandwagon, and I must say I'm impressed with this ROM. Very smooth and stable. I came from CM9 nightlies and have waited for CM10 nightlies to officially begin. Does the 2/15 update feel sluggish compared to the 2/7 update? Maybe it's just me, but after updating (using the usual cache and dalvik-cache wipe first) screen redraws, especially heavy graphic-laden apps feel sluggish. The Quadrant scores between the two releases don't vary much. The cpu...

Very stable rom. I use it everyday for email, news, web browsing and the occasional game. I've only found 1 app (a banking app) that won't work with it, but everything else works great. It's a huge performance upgrade over honeycomb, even without any overclocking.

I'm still on the fence. I really love my N1, especially with the MeDroid CM7 rom on it. I've been looking at the SGS2 and Galaxy Nexus as possible candidates, but the plastic feel is a bit of a turn off. I'm really hoping HTC does come out with a Tegra 3 phone that has a metal body.

I'm not sure if it's the right or best way, but I just do a batch backup of all user apps + system data. That way if something is messed up in the new flash I can at least get back to what I had before. Plus, I figure I can always just restore only user apps and data if I need to do a full wipe.
