To exclude certain directories from the gallery, put a .nomedia file in the directory you want to exclude. I use Astro file manager to just copy an existing .nomedia file from a directory that already has one. Sent from my Nexus One

Sorry man, I can't explain why it worked for me. All I can think of is I did a full wipe before I flashed. Not sure if that would be an issue or not.

The ribbon (i don't know the exact name for it) that pops up with the option for call, contact, email, fb, etc., is what i was referring to when I pressed the empty contact icon. If that doesn't pop up for you, I don't know what to say about that. :confused:
