Post Bootloop, no apx access, no recovery

I hadn't thought of that, I'll borrow my brothers later on today and see if I can get APX going. I'm on Win7 and driver signatures are off. Thanks

Thread Bootloop, no apx access, no recovery

Hey guys, hope someone can help me out here. My buddy has a bricked TF101, I told him I'd take a look at it (I fixed my brothers a year ago, it was no big deal). Anyway, I can't install the naked driver for APX access, the device ID shows up as all 000000. There's no recovery to read the...

Post Jellybean finally coming to Nexus S 4G

I think I like it sometimes, but it does kind of suck. I find myself using a verizon tablet when I need to really get something done, in the car I usually have my phone tethered to it incase I need to bring up navigation or maps real fast. the LTE coverage here is very good and the speed is...

Post Jellybean finally coming to Nexus S 4G

Ah, thanks for the clarification on that. Yeah I get it about the developer phone. Just comparing one major companies handset that they work hand in hand with the OEM to produce and write all the software for themselves to another company that does pretty close to the same thing. I'm sure...

Post Jellybean finally coming to Nexus S 4G

They are upgrading back to the iPhone 3GS (http://www.apple.com/ios/ios6/) so that'd be the 3gs, 4, 4s, and 5 all on the same version. The 3GS came out before the Nexus One did, so imagine the N1 getting upgraded to JB. Doesn't the N1 have the same speed & ram as the NS anyway? I don't know...

They totally have a profit conspiracy, but I can't blame that for that. Really it's Google, they have to have a stricter agreement with Nexus devices if they are going to market them as such.
  16. T

Post Jellybean finally coming to Nexus S 4G

+1 for Aliens and you're totally on point. Google should tell them if they want to carry Nexus series devices they want the same deal the iPhones get for updates and everything else. No update / NFC / tether / etc BS, it's Nexus or it's not! At the end of the day the radios are an interface for...

Post Jellybean finally coming to Nexus S 4G

Heck no! It's just a good comparison, if you compare oranges to oranges as say, one giant OEM with a big brand phone that has total control of software updates across multiple carriers to the Nexus line of handsets, it's really similar since the N1 was introduced except for the updates on CDMA...

Post Jellybean finally coming to Nexus S 4G

Because it's the most anti-Nexus, Nexus device ever made. I really like this phone, I like the size of it better than the new nexus, I like the whole nexus idea, mainly updated by Google and bloat free. I think the obsession stems from kind of an annoyance, it's like we buy these phones...

This build has been great so far in about 24 hours of use. I'm using the matrix 12.5 kernel with it and have it OC'd to 1.3 using the on demand governor and its awesome, ICS makes a real difference on the phone and its great. A few issues to be sure but damn fine work, thanks. Edit: if you...

    Post [wip][rom][aosp] ns2

It looks like the same issue on both accounts right now really. An aosp kernel is desperately needed with the right modules that aren't part of what Samsung dropped in their source for our model, which would make it that much easier to get things in /system working right. So far I've seen a lot...

  29. T

I believe most of this exists in the factory system dump. Do we still need the aosp source uploaded?

A CM release for the Sprint GS2 would help with the aosp kernel and system, without a doubt. I used CM6/7 exclusively on my Evo and really liked the tweaks that team built in to their release. After using the Nexus S for a few months I really stated to appreciate gingerbread just for what it...

    Post xoom built quality?

I've seen this before, you'll have to call Moto and they'll send you a box to send it back to them, should take 4/5 days from the day you send it to when you get it back. They send you an overnight box, will work on it/process it for a day or two and then send it back overnight.

    Post [Article]-Xoom screen = BAD

The Xoom display is sharp and it's better when you manually set the brightness. The color saturation and contrast are pretty bad though. Even compared to the original iPad. The back light (whatever kind it is) seems to saturate through the display so it makes the colors look a little washed out...
