sorry guys i have been flat out at work, SCCM deployment is taking a while to learn & play with. but im back now and hopefully unbuggering my phone :) i am going to redo all the bits you guys suggested on my PC rather than Craptop. hopefully ill have more joy, ill let ya know how i get on 8)

just had a brain wave, checked device manager - i have an unknown device detected.. thats where the sodding thing has been hiding... any ideas what drivers i need to get the dam thing detected correectly ? just going to try using the default google ones from the SDK.

Recovery - Same result. :( this has all been done on a windows 7 laptop, i have a linux laptop, will i get any more success using that with the google driver ?

have you downloaded the latest unrevoked 3.21 that seems to have worked for me. its no longer a zipped folder, its now a complete MSI app

latest revoked worked fine for me 3.21 sorted all the issues i was having.

i get the same error, so this is a valid topic. there is Nothing that gives us any information about what else to try, bar sitting and waiting for the rEVOked client to be updated.

ment to add that on 2 or 3 other sites people have said that they have resolved the issues, but no new release date has been issued, so i was hoping one of the devs may have a sneaky bit of inside info :P

yeah the current version means you need to downgrade to 2.1. but id rather go straight into rooting, than mess about with downgrading 1st.

the latest 3.2 isnt downloadable, only the older client is downloadable, but that one doesnt seem to work on the latest froyo client.

does anyone know when revoked 3 will be released for download again ? it appears to be the only rooting app for 2.2 FroYo.
