I use ES Explorer for streaming from my server while on my home network and Plex for streaming when I'm on a different network (i.e. 4G, someone elses WiFi).

I can turn it upside down but then I have issues with my headphones. I've since gotten bluetooth headphones and it's not a problem. If your headphones have an L shaped plug then they will work. Mine would stick straight out.

I think it's worth it. Just keep in mind that the ports are in a surprisingly inconvenient location when you have the Xoom propped up on a stand. A problem I face more often now that the device has USB hosting capability.

Most of my high profile 1080p movies rest between 4 and 6.5 gigs, but that's probably because I rip the blu-rays myself and use custom encode settings I came up with myself.

Android 3.1 on a 3G Motorola xoom. The 720p high profile clip plays perfectly with stock and mvideoplayer. Haven't tried any other samples.

I see no reason to get the Transformer over the Xoom, especially if you already have a Xoom.

I use constant quality. But that doesn't seem to be the issue, I just encoded a sample at the bitrate you suggested and it still had slight playback problems. Here are the h.264 encoding settings I'm using in handbrake.

The problem is coming from the lack of support for surround sound audio streams. When you encode your videos for your xoom, make sure you set the audio to stereo.

The only thing I don't like is the inability to play high profile h.264 video and all my video is high profile. There is no reason Tegra 2 shouldn't be able to play videos that my 3rd gen iPod Touch can handle without breaking a sweat.

That might be a bad sign, as the rogers magic I believe is the 32a mainboard and the mytouch is the 32b mainboard. But then again, maybe the mainboard version has nothing to do with this. Is there someone out there who knows for sure that can confirm this?
