if you have betterbatterystats and see modem_usb_gpio_wake at the top of kernel wakelocks a bad signal is probably the culprit. some batery cycles for me last 13 hours, others go 36 plus... and that particular wakelock is always at the top of the list when battery life blows

@uber - how often does your modded battery icon poll? (could be one reason) a crap 3g/wifi signal gives my gnex insomnia, perhaps same for you?

i just replaced my new gnex for the very reason you stated. the phone also got very warm while charging and took grainy pictures. so far the replacement is doing all 3 things much better. i would suggest trying to get a replacement.

since face unlock can be bypassed with a photo, not having it on the xoom isnt an issue... not having the 3.xx kernel is a bigger omission for me

near a bestbuy? i just picked up the motorola camera connection kit for $9.00 (tax included)... picked it up at the lemont, IL store got home dropped the update on a 2gb usb stick, booted into stock recovery, chose apply update from zip, chose file and now i have a semi official ICS Xoom...

hold power and vol up till unit reboots when you see Moto logo press vol down should say recovery top left of screen press vol up and that should get you into recovery

how did you install? if you did so by root explorer... then make sure you have the proper permissions set
