    Post Kickstand loose?

Mine just started doing this a few days ago...drove me nuts as well! Did the exact same thing as you with a mini screwdriver (didn't really think it would work), but lo and behold, it worked. My kickstand is as good as new - I just hope we won't have to do this on a regular basis. Anyone have...

Post [Q] Using phone as mp3 player in car

Excellent point - Honeycomb and ICS use MTP, whereas your OG EVO uses USB Mass Storage. I would check the documentation on your head unit, or contact their support, and you can probably confirm this.

    Post glitchy face lock?

Also, try it under different types of lighting and backgrounds. I've been surprised sometimes when I've been in less than ideal lighting, it still recognizes me. Of course, I haven't tested with someone else's face.

Post Performance not as great as I expected

I'm impressed with the performance on this device. It's incredibly smooth, and my personal test is how well it can run StarFox 64 on N64oid. My OG EVO couldn't get past the splash screen (other N64 games ran so-so). On the LTE, StarFox 64 is buttery smooth. I've noticed at least one app that...

    Post glitchy face lock?

Agreed...but it's a pretty cool feature  Too bad there isn't a way to combine security features, for example, have face unlock plus PIN or pattern. Might get annoying in practical use though.

    Post [Q] Video Playback Issues

Do these videos work on someone else's EVO LTE? Do they work on another Android device (perhaps the OG EVO)? Do you have a spare SD card you can copy the videos to, one that you have performed a fresh format on?

Hate to do this to you, but... OP: have you tried calling Sprint support, or visiting a store? Perhaps they could at least offer you an 'official' word on the matter, or swap out your device.

Post Transferring files from internal to external sdcard

Be sure to unmount the drive properly in Windows. SD cards can corrupt when you just unplug the phone without unmounting the drive first. Alternately, on your phone you can switch to 'charge only', which does the same thing.

Post [Q] Using phone as mp3 player in car

SD cards can become corrupted if the OS doesn't mount and unmount the drive properly. Try plugging your phone into a PC, and see if Windows/YourOS picks it up properly. Then unmount in Windows or on your phone (just switch to 'charge only'). See if that makes a difference.

Post Issues with Font Size in Mail and Messaging Apps

Interesting, I've had the same font size issue in the stock Mail app. There is an option in Settings > Sync, Send & Receive to view messages as either HTML or plain text. I wonder if the difference is the way the email is formatted by the sender, if they use HTML vs plain text, if that is what...

    Post [Q] Some General Questions

    1. With moderate use, you should easily get through an entire day. I've taken my phone off the charger around 7:30 am two days in a row now, and it doesn't get juiced again until midnight. First night I had 20%+ left, last night I had 8% left after 14-15 hours of use. Yesterday, usage...

    Post 3.5mm Jack Audio low?

I've always noticed that the HTC phones I've had don't have very loud volumes for headphones. I use earbuds, so it's not an issue for me. Beats does make it louder, but I don't think it necessarily improves the quality of the sound. I recall reading an article on either Engadget or Ars about...

    Post glitchy face lock?

Lighting has to be somewhat decent, this feature doesn't seem to work in low light. I recommend you all use the 'Improve face matching' feature in different types of ambient light. Mine unlocks very fast, quicker than I could type my PIN, if the lighting is decent.

    Post Access Notifications While Browsing?

Simplest way I've found is to flick the screen just a bit, as if you are going to scroll up or down, which makes the browser address/menu-bars appear. If you select 'Tabs' on the lower-right, you not only see your tabs but the notification bar also appears.

Post So, since there's enough "Here's MY problem with the phone" threads...

I've had this device for less than 24 hours, but here's my list so far: 1. Camera - leaps and bounds better than OG EVO. 2. The 'feel' of the aluminum (?) trim that goes all the way around the device, as well as the feel of the power and camera buttons. 3. Amazing screen 4. The camera lens is...

I haven't rooted my Xoom, nor have I rented out any flix. The tiamat kernel (from my understanding) enables SD card and allows you to overclock. I don't ever 'rent' any content, and I'm willing to wait for an update that will enable the SD card. You can watch your own movies just fine on the...

I believe you are correct. Anyone can download the updated Music app from the Market, but unless you got an invite and signed up, you can't use the whiz-bang features of the Music beta service. On both my EVO and Xoom, I was able to update the app and signed into it thanks to the invite I...

I just received an invitation as well, so I accepted it and can now browse the Music beta site. Of course, it won't really do me much good until I get the software update as well, as browsing the site on my 3.0.1 Xoom is laggy. Go figure.
