Post [BACKUP] (V510) GPE ONLY LMY47O.L008 Stock For TWRP

Hey, thanks a lot for the 5.1 backup (and thanks to the OP as well). This saved me a lot of trouble updating to 5.1. Hardest part was just waiting for everything to download, though it helps I'm not new to the adb game and I already had twrp installed. Some others have reported they lost their...

Post USB 2.0 in 2014? Seriously Samsung?

USB had a buggy launch, inconsistent and confusing connectors that didn't map well in the mobile space, power issues, chip issues, and the broader billion dollar mobile market clearly didn't care that much about it, at least according to the millions poured in to overall market research on it...

Post Tab S 8.4 still worth buying?

It's a great little tablet if you can pick it up on a sale or with unused gift cards for under $300. I rarely shop at Best Buy so the fact I had a couple laying around and an older phone sitting in a drawer they gave me $50 for got me to $255 for a new 32gb model. My company provides AT&T data...

You more or less just summed it up - just have the one Android device use the A2DP "media" profile and the phone use the HSP. That's about it as far as anything specific to that config. Users who have Android sticks do this. As for Tasker you'd really only need it if you want to kick off stuff...

Works fine on my N5 with stock KitKat with the AppRadio 3, maybe you want to go back and try stock? Custom ROM issues are going to be hard to narrow down with an app like this one. Honestly, as far as the N5 is concerned, I don't know what a custom rom gets you that stock + GravityBox doesn't...

It works the same way it does with or without AppRadio - the phone connects to the HU using the hands-free BT profile, which means built in mic, speakers, etc. Doesn't matter if you have HDMI connected or not - that's the default behavior if BT is connected to a hands-free profile.

Kind of...pointless for the context of this discussion then, which was about the best way to charge while using ARU. The question from another user was is the USB port on the AppRadio sufficient and the answer - at least if you want to keep mirroring the screen, which is the point - is, not...

Worthless for you. Before you get too upset understand that there are plenty of folks who have gotten MHL to work and you can blame Samsung for being their usual go-their-own-direction selves in how they chose to implement it. And no one's ever claimed wireless HDMI of any type has worked well...

Interesting. I have problems with BT in general on the N5 - a lot of 4.4 devices do - but usually it never connects at all. Anyway, try disabling, then re-enabling BT first. As in, let your phone connect to your HU BT, then turn off BT, then turn it back on, then launch ARU. If this works (and...

Car mode was fixed in 4.4, in fact I think 4.3 is where the fix first showed up. With that, you can just use Car Home Ultra to do what you want, it has an option to make itself the "home" launcher when active. You can use Tasker to disable Car Mode to quickly turn it off when it's not. I'm on...

Post [APP][4.0+] Floatifications **New Release** [24/06/2015]

I just discovered this app and love it, quick question on the ticker: I'm not seeing the "Subject" line in emails, either for Gmail or the stock Email app. I see who it's from, and if I enabled expanded text I can see that, but for some reason the subject line doesn't show. Did I miss a setting?

Interesting question. My first instinct is to say while you could probably have both hooked up - Android doesn't need the USB port on the HU, the iPod doesn't need the HDMI connector, and you can connect two at once via BT - it'll probably confuse the hell out of the AR3. I don't know how you...

This is good to know, thanks! Do you happen to know off-hand if the Rotation Locker app, the one on the Play store, uses the same method? I like using that - while I do appreciate you putting the feature in to ARU (since RL is a paid app) RL does have a Tasker plugin so I have better control...

It's the car that matters, you won't be hardwiring the power in to the HU itself. It's pretty simple, you just tap in to an existing power lead - Crutchfield should tell you what it recommends based on your car, but essentially you want one that is tied to the ignition. The best place to tap...

Sure, I had given some though to that - it really depends how far down the rabbit hole you want to go, so to speak. For example, you'll want a decent size battery made by a decent company - I wouldn't go bargin-basement on something I'm essentially going to leave in my car - so there's $60-90...

The popular one on XDA seems to be the MK809 III, but it gets a lot of flak for weak wifi. There are some other suggestions in this thread somewhere. Yes, several folks do that. Just make sure on your stick it's set for a media profile only in BT settings and vice versa for your phone. What stick are you going to use? There's a ton out there, but not many good ones for this purpose.

You need to have the parking brake set. If you have a bypass installed you might have problems because for some reason that setting specifically looks for a parking break being set and technically the bypass doesn't do that (make the AppRadio think the PB is always set, that is). Edit: I looked...

All I do, before I automated the process with Tasker, is go in to the phone settings and turn it on/off there. A few seconds after it reconnects ARU jumps in to action. Is your ROM 4.4? I hear this is a common problem with BT on 4.4. I have an N5 with 4.4.2.

I use the PAC-SWI with mine and it just works no matter what order. However, in Android (Google Play Music, for example) scrubbing doesn't work, only track next/previous (and volume of course). Is that the case with yours? Scrubbing works with the default Car Media player.

You have it backwards. The GPS injector allows apps that use GPS but weren't designed with the AppRadio in mind to use the HU GPS. Use Tasker to bounce your BT connection after you connect HDMI and before you load ARU. I don't know what that bug is, but I get it all the time too - BT connects the phone/HU, connect HDMI, load ARU, but ARU doesn't "see" the BT connection. Bouncing BT usually does it. Hopefully it'll get...
