See, I am looking for a good tablet that will last me maybe 1-3 years, but I am also looking for a semi-cheap tablet. That would make since. I mean, if you think about the only apps that update to work 100% on Android OS updates right away are Google apps, so yea this might actually be so.

It is understandable if this rom does a full wile the first time you install it, but does it do a full wipe of all your apps everytime you update to another version? Because I would like to try this. I could be coming from Chimera v2.2.

Hey, does this rom still work very good? I don't mind that they are not supporting it anymore, because from what I read it is way better then the old Touchwiz Android OS that we would otherwise be stuck with on this phone that Samsung forgot..

I agree with you about the Samsung not updating thing because it isn't exactly new, so we really have no real grounds to complain about common knowledge.

To be safe I would recommend that you reinstall all the apps you uninstalled. I mean, it should be ok, but I always like to be safe rather then sorry.. And September 2013 got it

Is anyone really surprised that Samsung is taking their time to rollout an update? But seriously, I always say that I am never buying another Samsung device for this reason, but then I always end up buying another Samsung device.

I use to use the Peel app before I got my 32" HDTV. The only reason I don't use it now is because I would hate having to keep pressing input til it gets all the way down to hdmi 1. Basically, it needs to be upgraded for the newer tvs.

I just got mine today

I actually was a little upset that we get no ICS and that samsung did the same like they did with the Galaxy S and the Galaxy S 4G or something like that, but then I looked at the specs and it seems that you may be right as it seems to be made as a budget tablet.

I just today checked via software update and my P6210 model had a firmware update so I installed it. I have yet to see any changes though. I unrealisticly was hoping it was ICS, but hopefully it is at least a peroration for ICS.

To be honest I am thinking about rooting to get chainfire. It is a shame that I will have to root just to play many gameloft games though.

I am super happy with my IR Blaster as it makes me feel like the tech dude from NCIS: LA to be able to control my good old box tv. And no, I do not believe it is bad to have a tablet without a IR Blaster. In fact, as much as I like the IR Blaster, I don't think it is going to become a thing...

I think you should go on and get it. Sure, it lacks Super amoled screen, but I find that people that randomly see my tablet have no problem with my screen. In fact they say the screen is pretty awesome. In fact, the only real people who seem to notice the screen are fellow tech people.

I don't know if they are required to update the Galaxy Tab or not since it has been over a year or so, but it would be a great PR move.

How many apps is to many because HC tends to keep apps open sometimes in the background.

Hmm, I do love the idea of controlling my tv with a tablet and the speakers being good intrest me a bit. Now the thing with the camera does the ffc shoot video or only take pics? The small lagness wont really bug me much as my xoom has some lag also it seems so I believe it is just HC and hope...

Yea, we wouldn't want another rushed for the Xoom like honeycomb was with 3.0, 3.0.1, etc. lol :) So, yea I don't mind waiting a bit til they get some of the bugs out.

Im thinking hold off for a bit before you buy the XY which is more or less the same as the Xoom. I say this because I honestly see Xoom getting ICS before XY.
