Having some issues with Motion Photo on the 2016 Pixel XL. Selected pixel experimental features under hdr config to enable it for back camera but can't get it working on front camera. Searched the thread but didn't find any fixes.
Everything else working great so far.
Edit: this is on GCam...
I remember hearing somewhere that the Moto X Pure was going to get 60fps video at 1080p. Right now, with the stock Moto Camera app, we only get 1080p30
If this new Moto X is enticing enough, I'm actually thinking about selling my Dev edition and upgrading. However, this new X will have to seriously wow me, in terms of looks, specs, and price. Has to be all 3 of those, not just 1 or 2.
Tasker's actually the app with the most functionality I've ever seen. You can do SO many things with it, like pretty much automate anything on your phone based on location, events, time, sensors, you name it
It's well worth the $5 in my opinon
They all reported the story wrong anyways =/ they're all saying the LED is a notification light. I corrected Android Authority's article, and the author changed it, but Droid Life has yet to see my comment and change it. Along with all the smaller blogs
I've found even if you slide the ring over to the unlock position and hold it down long enough, it still turns on the torch. Kinda inconvenient in my mind but hey, it's just a side effect of an awesome feature in the first place!
Ah, didn't know that. Nice find! Makes sense too :D
Also, this thread is going around the tech world!
Droid life picked it up, Android Authority picked it up, and quite a few smaller tech blogs did as well
carock , you're getting pretty famous! lol
If you have a dev edition on kitkat it's as simple as flashing TWRP and then superSU binary

On a VZW dev edition? Just unlock it at any time kitkat or not, then flash TWRP and then superSU binary, it's as...
Took this from the Motorola website directly, decided to mirror it on my G-Drive. Flash these in fastboot using the motorola fastboot binary if you ever run into any problems and need to flash back to stock! Just follow the instructions below if you are new to the process...
Please, Please, PLEASE use a site that has a very large download speed.
An example of this is Mega. I downloaded a file a user on here put up, and I downloaded 650mb at a blazing fast 150kb/s. I was not happy at all.
On the other end, I just downloaded a zip that a user on here uploaded to...
Probably nothing. The only reason I mentioned the one in the play store, is because TWRP never actually asked me to root in the first place. I thought it was strange, but I didn't really think much of it

I want to first say that I did not figure out this method on my own, I saw it on Google+ via Matthew Pierce and modified it to make it easier to follow
Second, **do not try this on a device with a locked bootloader. You need the unlocked bootloader...
Lol then you should probably change the word "ALL VARIANTS" to "NON DEVELOPER EDITION" in the title haha
edit: Wow I can't read lol, saw the OP and the giant bold text
Root achieved on Developer Edition on 4.4 kitkat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NP9WXLIzhTY&feature=youtu.be
I did not figure out the root method. I followed Michael Pierce's instructions that I Saw on Google+, but modified them to be easier to read. Detailed the instructions in an easi(er) to...

Don't think I ran into any of the noise you're getting. I am running ART on my VZW dev edition on kitkat. The reason I bring up ART vs dalvik, is because on reddit, i saw a post that compared ART-recorded video to dalvik-recorded video...
Ah. there's my problem. I flashed the files from the factory moto X.
And the device is recognized in fastboot, I can send it commands, it's just that none of them except fastboot reboot actually work
