Post Car kit for wired GPS & Qtek9090

I work for the importers of Brodit into the UK - we can't supply you (trade only) but www.incardiscount.co.uk will do next day delivery for you! If you speak to them, they might be able to do something different to get all devices connected and working without a Y cable - give them a call...

    Post COM PORT for QTEK9090

First things first, go into Start, Settings, connections, beam and take the tick out of the box. All Brodit holders use Com1 for GPS, but if you've got beam enabled then this disables it on the holder ...Spence

Post TOMTOM 5 shows no keyboard on screen ???

You need to put the ZIP folder in the root of the PDA, not the SD Card. The way I did it was to open My Computer, double-click on mobile device and put the folder there. Works for me now :D , but still have the missing keyboard problem :( ...Spence

    Post Possible Car Kit breakthrough!

To cut a long story short, I had a couple of data cables for Ipaq's (3800 I think) lying around and I got a complete car kit from stock, cut the cable off at the phone cradle end and soldered on the connector from the Ipaq. At the moment it looks a real mess, but it does work! Haven't played...

    Post Possible Car Kit breakthrough!

The other added goodie that I can put into some vehicles is a thing called an intellimute - made and designed by my company! Linked in with the stereo, it will mute the stereo when it senses audio not just when in a call hence the Nav audio as well. This might be useful to you - but you will...

    Post Possible Car Kit breakthrough!

The voltage builds up to about 5v when making a call and does drop off to 0 when you end the call. Also, I don't have any problems with sound quality (although this is in an office at the moment) with the microphone. I am using a universal car kit that my company sells, just hacked the...

    Post Possible Car Kit breakthrough!

Pin 12 on an XDAII goes to a positive voltage when in a call. One thing I did notice was that the voltage does just appear and disappear, it builds up and drops off over 2 seconds, Regards ...Spence

Post Arkon CM750 MDA III 3 PDA mount +speaker +gps charger

I am biased but .... Have a look at www.brodit.com - find this product '849612' Then find a bracket to mount this in your car. May be more expensive but won't look out of place! You can use your existing cable to charge the PDA in the car. When I've finished developing my car kit connection...

Post CONFUSED...is the blue angel connector same as the XDA II???

They are not!!!!! There is a voltage output from an XDAII when in a call, but the XDA IIs doesn't give the voltage! Can't remember which pin off the top of my head but I have been testing this and found this to be a major problem when designing a proper car kit for both items! ..Spence

Does anyone know where I can buy the plug that plugs into the bottom connector for an XDAIIs? Ideally, I'd like one that has all...

The connection I've got is a PS2 like a Mouse/keyboard. The antenna you have sounds like a Leadtek which is branded as TomTom - looks like a flat silver square? As it happens I now work for Nemesis and we are working on a connector to connect your antenna to the holder we supply. You can get...

I've got a powered holder in my car, powers the XDAIIs and the GPS antenna (Holux 210 I think!). The holder also feeds Tx & Rx to the XDA on serial port 1. I've also used the holder to just power the XDA and BT antenna and it also works fine. Got it from www.nemesisgb.com - they are the...
