Don't know if there any relation between APN and the signal. This is purely radio issue. I was having same issue and ended up selling the phone. Do you think correct APN and improve signal? may be I am lacking in knowledge.

what zips needs to install with 5.7.1 I have E980 and I installed this rom successfully. When I am trying to install MADMAC zip, I am not able to boot and it stucks on LG logo. Just curios If I really need to install Modem and madmac with 5.7.1 ? I am coming from stock 4.4 AT&T. Thanks
