Roger that man....and had a little pie in the face moment, but I think I can make do, the honest reason for having stay rooted on my 2/32 is to manipulate the hell out of the stock kernel, custom stock kernel or a Pie kernel to try and find the sweet spot for performance and battery and really...

Post Can G5+ be upgraded to Oreo via OTA and then rooted

Not exactly the answer I was looking for. The exact question is, unlock bootloader on Nougat or unlock after upgrading to Oreo? Or get the unlock code while on Nougat, upgrade to Oreo and then unlock and root?

Post [Oreo][Stock][Rom] TWRP Flashable Stock Builds

My 2/32 has aged pretty fast and by Monday, I will be the proud owner of the 4/64 but to warm that up, gotta use the stock Oreo. Is it better to unlock the bootloader and root the Nougat and then flash this (or restore an existing backup from the old phone) OR unlock the bootloader on Nougat...

Thread Can G5+ be upgraded to Oreo via OTA and then rooted

If I end up with the 4/64 variant (then my 2/32 lives on as some backup device/wifi)...pretty sure it still will have stock Nougat. If I upgrade immediately to Oreo via OTA, can I still unlock the bootloader and root, or unlock it on Nougat and then upgrade via OTA and then root it? Also, true...

    Post [9.0][OFFICIAL]Resurrection Remix v7.0.2 [POTTER][18-09]

Really? Looking like I'm leaning on Kraken, where I'm currently on the first build, haven't tried the new build but I read it's a clean flash bc of kernel change. But RR, I really would like to go back and get the customization I miss. On Kraken, I pared down to 104 user apps (on Stock Oreo...

    Post [9.0][OFFICIAL]Resurrection Remix v7.0.2 [POTTER][18-09]

Is it indeed good for 2/32? I have a good thing going with the Kraken build but if the RR is working good long-term...that'd be nice if I could go back but this time just with pico or nano.

    Post [ROM][9.0][OFFICIAL] Kraken Project [POTTER]

This ROM is perfect! I do though because of my setup have to restart my phone every 2-3 days to shake the cobwebs out and keep it as lag free as possible. But otherwise this is the first Pie rom where I can open up Google Maps and it doesn't cause total lockup or Spotify and not have the LMK...

Crossing my fingers, have to get past seven total days of operation before I go, we found the zeitgeist. Flashed the kraken-project (seems to be based on AOSP Extended if AEX went on a huge diet). Downloaded the SmartPack Kernel mod of Kernel Adiutor and L Speed. I won't go through the list...

I have no issues with ZRAM but after a brief flirtation at doubling the zram, I have decided to stay at the default value of 512. I have the OC version of the Immensity kernel and also run L Speed with the CPU Optimizer and Governor Tuner set to Performance at 3 minute interval timer. I also...

I think I found a way to temper the battery drain a bit running 1 GB of Zram while keeping KSM/Ultra KSM running on Immensity on top of Arrow: use the OC version so the CPU usage doesnt run the battery hotter than usual and then use L Speed to have the CPU Optimizer on Performance and Governor...

I have the 32/2 variant myself. Back on the Pie roms though. I'll give the ZRAM boost another old college try again and double it to 1024. So far, so good. The only thing I don't like about it is it'll keep my resting avg battery temp a bit higher since I am using the Immensity kernel and it...
