Not exactly the answer I was looking for. The exact question is, unlock bootloader on Nougat or unlock after upgrading to Oreo? Or get the unlock code while on Nougat, upgrade to Oreo and then unlock and root?

My 2/32 has aged pretty fast and by Monday, I will be the proud owner of the 4/64 but to warm that up, gotta use the stock Oreo. Is it better to unlock the bootloader and root the Nougat and then flash this (or restore an existing backup from the old phone) OR unlock the bootloader on Nougat...

This ROM is perfect! I do though because of my setup have to restart my phone every 2-3 days to shake the cobwebs out and keep it as lag free as possible. But otherwise this is the first Pie rom where I can open up Google Maps and it doesn't cause total lockup or Spotify and not have the LMK...

I am going to give this another try, this time flash mini Open Gapps, which mirrors what Stock Oreo gives and then see if I can cut the apps I use on Stock Oreo by at least 25%.

I think I found a way to temper the battery drain a bit running 1 GB of Zram while keeping KSM/Ultra KSM running on Immensity on top of Arrow: use the OC version so the CPU usage doesnt run the battery hotter than usual and then use L Speed to have the CPU Optimizer on Performance and Governor...

How did you get Immensity working on this particular ROM. The only reason I went to Arrow is so I can use Immensity bc it doesn't work on any ROM that uses Optimus Drunk as its default.

Restart in recovery. Then take the SD card, put it in your computer/laptop, copy all the data (except Android) to a folder of your choosing. Format it. Then place the copied data back on to the SD card, insert back in...then reboot recovery. Then reboot to system. You are good to go.

sounds like ill have another fresh install via fastboot. i just dont want to waste steps with this if another flash of any kind of twrp stock oreo results in losing my touchscreen again and I have to fastboot. There's gotta be a reason why that happens...

Did you start with fastbooting it? I did because multiple attempts to flash TWRP version resulted in no touchscreen. But that was coming off a Pie custom rom.

I fastbooted the stock rom because I lost my touchscreen when flashed the initial TWRP build. I am assuming that I'll need to fastboot this version (found it)/security patch or can I safely dirty flash the patch build without losing my touchscreen? Anyone done this?

Use Kernel Adiutor (which you can get from Play Store). It will be in the Misc category. Toggle them off and then make it remember that at boot.

Backup anything important (to you) from your internal storage to your PC or SD card. Then in TWRP, wipe internal storage, that will decrypt it. Then clean install your ROM.

If you are referring to the mods, no. Those mods require 64-bit. Oreo stock is 32-bit.
