What's the best way to install this update? I went to "System -> Advanced -> Updater" and it found and downloaded a lineage-17.1 update (I have not tried to install yet). Or do I need to manually download from your link above and install? Do I need to wipe Data partition and reflash GApps too?

Did a full wipe of everything, reinstalled, still get the "Roaming Indicator Off" message

I went Network & Internet > Mobile Network > and then enabled "Roaming". Still shows the same message posted above.

I am also on Droid Turbo (XT1254) on Verizon. I did not wipe internal data and I did reinstall some apps from Google backup. Also did not touch kernel. I was on stock Verizon 6.0.1 marshmallow. My steps were: 1) backed up via TWRP, 2) copied ROM and Gapps to phone, 3) wiped...

I wiped System, Data, Cache and Davlik prior to installing the rom. Then wiped Cache and Davlik again after installing and prior to reboot

This mod I reflashed and now seems to charge fine. Weird coincidence I guess. Unrelated: under "About Phone" and "SIM Status" it shows "Roaming Indicator Off" and shows the same next to the network when I pull the notification/quick settings screen down. I expected it to show Verizon...

I reinstalled this mod and noticed my battery will not charge even though charger is plugged in, lightning "charge" icon displays and Turbo Toast says turbo charger detected ....but if you go into battery status in settings it says battery cannot charge even though it shows it being plugged in...

I'm a little confused.....so once installed you can disable/enable root at any time?

So with that root option installed.....can you turn root on/off (I get its for all apps) at any time? Or once you install everything potentially has root right off the bat?

Sorry, another question. Regarding the "root" option in the second post of this thread, am I interpreting the post correctly in that if installed every app will have root access?

Is a kernel flash recommend when doing something like this? Is that something that can also be reverted via twrp?

Well tried again today and it all worked. Q is running on my Droid Turbo and it looks fantastic. I do have a few questions though? 1. I have Verizon as a service provider.....do I set radio settings to "CDMA+LTE/EVDO"? That worked, just curious if that is the right setting. I'm right next...

I downloaded the what was linked on page 1 from the Google Drive link. I'll also start over with the "small" GApps package. I did not do anything with Magisk or iSU or kernel. I only backed up what I had, then wiped System/Data/Cache/Dalvik then installed the ROM...

So got Sunshine to work (had to purchase out of app) and bootloader unlocked. Got latest TWRP installed. Wiped Data/System/Cache/Dalvik and then flashed latest Q from first page in this thread and full GApps and then rewiped cache and dalvik. Now when phone reboots.....I get what looks like...

I'll try without root. I've had radio and wifi on. Edit: If I run Sunshine w/out root it tells me "Root was not found. For the firmware running on your phone, you need to use the initroot temproot before using Sunshine."

I've gotten temporary root going with auto-initroot and got Sunshine installed and all checks passed. When I try to make purchase, it hangs in PayPal with "checking this device" or "unable to communicate with PayPal servers". Anyone else experience this or able to work around this?

So when you say "be cautious", any tips you have or problems you've run along in past? Do I need to do anything else to root before I try any of this?

So I'm new to unlocking, customizing my phone and have been reading quite a bit on this forum about this. I have a Droid Turbo XT1254 running 6.0.1 (Build # MCG24.251-5-5). If I wanted to try to load Q on this device, am I correct in that these are my steps: 1) Download "Sunshine" and unlock...

Thanks for that.........so you're saying it could go straight from 6 to 9? What process is there besides "sunshine"? (I have read about that particular process already......but if there is a better/easier option, I'm all ears.)

I have a stock XT1254 running stock marshmallow. Can I updated directly from that to Pie?
