Recovery didnt work, so I did RSPL and then flashed it with Deep Shining (SPL was 3.1) and now the phone is woking phine :) Except Camera, when I tap the camera icon, the screen goes blank for an instance and then reverts back to the previous screen

Im running deepshining too, the phone drains battery but not that fast. You might have following turned on - Location - 3G - Data - Wifi If you turn these off, and em on as and when needed, the battery timing will be increased greatly. Hope this helps
