Just tried this ROM on a spare S5mini I have lying around. Very nice ROM, no obvious bugs AFAICS, but idle battery consumption seems atrocious: three days just sitting on my desk in airplane mode and the battery is completely drained. With other ROMs, that would be between 14 and 25 days. No...

    Post [JDCTeam] Optimized LineageOS17.1 v9.0 [10Dec]

Well, the question would still be: how to do the actual backup, then? But I seem to have found a solution. Did the backup of /data via USB ("adb backup -f <filename> --twrp data") while the phone was in TWRP, wiped system, data, and caches, did a clean install of v4, and then restored /data via...

    Post [JDCTeam] Optimized LineageOS17.1 v9.0 [10Dec]

I seem to have done something stupid. I updated Magisk from within the app (direct method) but didn’t reboot right away. Thinking I could combine that updating the ROM, I rebooted into TWRP, wiped Dalvik and cache, and dirty flashed v4 over v3. The result is that the phone will boot into its...

Post WiFi Calling / VoLTE on Mi 9

Just encountered a strange phenomenon: If I activate VoLTE, certain numbers cannot be called; the call terminates before even being connected. If I switch off VoLTE, that number connects normally. Most numbers seem to be okay, though, and both landlines and mobile phones. My previous phone (a Mi...

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS 10.3.7 OTA for the OnePlus 6

Battery life is still atrocious, though. It used to be good to okay when I got the phone two months ago; after the update to 10, it was way worse; the update to 10.3.1 seems to have made it even worse. No apps were added since the update to 10.

Thread Annoying notification sound during calls on stock OP6

After updating my OP6 to Oxygen 10 (via Oxygen Updater and a local upgrade), I get an annoyingly loud notification ‘plop’ sound (not the usual notification sound as set in settings but something that sounds like a glitch) if eg a message arrives while I make a call. As far as I am concerned...

If you really want to leave it in, why not at least disable it by default? It’s not just annoying to people who don’t/can’t use it, it completely disrupts your use of the device. Whereas if you want to use it, you can simply find it in the settings.

Great ROM, actually found it to be smoother and faster than OptLOS v10. One weird issue crept up on both ROMs for me, though: A short while after installing, when everything seemed to have settled in rather nicely after a day or so, massive battery drain set in, on the order of 10-12 % per hour...

Got some random reboots (apparently correlated with lagging system UI) and the known issue of the blue rectangle that blocks the screen until you pull the battery. Clean flash of latest version (20190610) with Magisk 19.3 and nano GApps (20190612). Is anybody else seeing this?
