This is just one data point, but a dirty flash of v5 over v4 didn’t go well for me.

One observation about v3: If I change the CPU governor to abyssplug, the phone immediately crashes and reboots. That probably shouldn’t happen. ;)

I haven’t, no. I am dreading the hassle, to be honest.

Battery life is still atrocious, though. It used to be good to okay when I got the phone two months ago; after the update to 10, it was way worse; the update to 10.3.1 seems to have made it even worse. No apps were added since the update to 10.

How would I do that? Just download the ROM file for v9.0.9 and use the OxygenUpdater to flash it manually?

How would I roll back to OxygenOS 9 after I have done the manual update to 10.3 via the Oxygen Updater? I’m experiencing high battery drain, obnoxiously loud notifications sounds while I’m making calls, and SwiftKey malfunctions.

After updating my OP6 to Oxygen 10 (via Oxygen Updater and a local upgrade), I get an annoyingly loud notification ‘plop’ sound (not the usual notification sound as set in settings but something that sounds like a glitch) if eg a message arrives while I make a call. As far as I am concerned...

If you really want to leave it in, why not at least disable it by default? It’s not just annoying to people who don’t/can’t use it, it completely disrupts your use of the device. Whereas if you want to use it, you can simply find it in the settings.

For me, it also comes with atrocious battery drain (in spite of 80+ %, but not the usual 95+ %, deep sleep). And the lower CPU frequencies are gone—any reason why?

Great ROM, actually found it to be smoother and faster than OptLOS v10. One weird issue crept up on both ROMs for me, though: A short while after installing, when everything seemed to have settled in rather nicely after a day or so, massive battery drain set in, on the order of 10-12 % per hour...

Could you perhaps give a very short appraisal of two or three of the most worthwhile CPU governors in terms of performance and battery life?

Hardware button customization seems to be borked. The Menu/Recents button cannot be configured at all; default actions stay active whatever you select. The same seems to be true for the Back button.

No, I haven’t had a chance to yet. But in this case, I might just try a clean install anyway, because I also kind of played around with different doze profiles… ;)

I wouldn’t know. This bug has been reported repeatedly in this thread, though. No mention of it in the LOS16 thread, AFAICS.

cc khalvat Another small bug: Night Light doesn’t switch on/off automatically at sunset/sunrise but has to be toggled manually.

Because those packages are the last ones that have version 1.0 of the soundpicker app that doesn’t crash on this ROM. Yes, TWRP freezes within a few seconds of me starting the flashing process.

Thanks for the suggestion! Incidentally, the aroma GApps packackes from March don’t work on my device: trying to install via TWRP 3.3.1 and the screen just freezes after a few seconds.

Just went from version 2.1 to the latest 2.6. The increase in speed and smoothness seems to be considerable. One bug I found: changing the Havoc settings for the Menu button (long press/double tap) has no effect; the default action remains active whatever setting you choose. As to the Sounds...

Got some random reboots (apparently correlated with lagging system UI) and the known issue of the blue rectangle that blocks the screen until you pull the battery. Clean flash of latest version (20190610) with Magisk 19.3 and nano GApps (20190612). Is anybody else seeing this?
