    Post [KERNEL][P9][8.0+] ECOKernel 2020

Is there any way you could add a feature to change the vibration intensity? It's very low on Lineage OS, almost can't feel it.

    Post [KERNEL][P9][8.0+] ECOKernel 2020

I tried the fast charging, and I *think* it charged faster, but maybe I imagined it ?. I'll know for sure the next time I do a full charge. Do you have an idea for what additional features you want to put into the next update?

    Post [KERNEL][P9][8.0+] ECOKernel 2020

I've just installed the kernel (UBER) on my P9 running OpenKirin Lineage OS. Everything seems to be good so far. I was wondering if you had done any benchmarks regarding stock kernel battery life vs ECO kernel battery life? Also, can enabling fast charging damage the battery?

Post [Magisk v14.0] Universal SafetyNet Fix | Universal Hide [v2 Beta 5]

I have a Huawei P9, and I am using Lineage OS 14.1. I flashed the latest version of Magisk (14) and it doesn't seem to pass safteynet - it fails both basic integrity and CTS profile match. I've tried turning on "only core modules" in the manager app, and I've even tried using the "Universal...

Devs, any chance we could get safteynet bypassing built into the ROM? I've tried Magisk with the universal safteynet fix and it still doesn't pass basic integrity or CTS profile match. A while back on this thread someone posted about getting it to work but I can not make seem it work

Boot into recovery again and try a factory reset (no need to flash anything again, just into TWRP and perform the standard wipe).

    Post [ROM][7.1.2][LineageOS 14.1 for Huawei P9][Update 18/07/2017]

What did you take your recovery with? Did you create it using TWRP? It should not be in a .rar, it should either be a zip, or it should be unpacked (as folders).

Place it on your (External) SD Card, or on the internal storage, and boot into TWRP, from there select restore and chose the backup file.

If you're on the old version of this ROM, then just downloaded the new .zip files (From the Original Post) and follow the instructions here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-t3615781/post73076908 You don't need to factory reset or anything. Settings > More (on Wireless & Network) > Cellular Networks There should be a switch for enhanced calling or something if your carrier provides VoLTE. Otherwise, it may be a different problem.

That's odd. There is no option to keep wifi ON when screen is off - the option is only to turn wifi OFF during sleep. Make sure you're reading the setting right. If you are reading the option right, how long after you turn the screen off before you loose wifi.

Yep, he's right. The previous update was a better daily driver, but this ROM is still stable. I use it everyday. If you really wanted, do a full NANDROID backup, and flash the ROM. If it doesn't work out and you need to go back to stock you can use the backup.

The devs have lives/jobs too. They work on this in their spare time. You can't always expect them to be working on the ROM. And sometimes bugs take a long time to find/fix. There is no point pushing another build if it doesn't do anything better than the current version.

Before you try re-flashing, simply perform a factory reset (default wipe on TWRP). That may fix it.

Yeah this has happened to me. I think it depends on how much time you've had your phone on for (without rebooting). Just hold down the power button, or if you can quickly press shutdown. The bootloop should go away after a reboot.

Try starting from scratch. Use the files I linked to flash stock. Also, are you sure that there are no error in TWRP? Sometimes there is an error but the build script still completes successfully. EDIT: When you say your stuck in a.bootloop, do you mean the device keeps rebooting or the boot...

    1) Flash stock ROM. 2) BOOT INTO the stock ROM and test it. If you end up with a boot loop in stock ROM, then enter EMUI Recovery (NOT TWRP) and factory reset. Reboot into EMUI 5 but DON'T complete setup. 3) Once you are sure the stock ROM works, boot into TWRP and wipe /system and format...

I think it stands for Hardware Composer. It basically allows the Android UI to be rendered using the GPU instead of the CPU (so the ROM's interface is smoother/faster).

    Post [ROM][7.1.2][LineageOS 14.1 for Huawei P9][Update 18/07/2017]

You need the update files for 5.0. There should be two files: update.zip and fill-up date.zip. Flash the update from TWRP recovery then flash the updatr-fill.zip. After that boot into EMUI recovery and factory reset. That will put you back onto stock EMUI 5

    Post [ROM][7.1.2][LineageOS 14.1 for Huawei P9][Update 18/07/2017]

Yeah the ROM needs parts from EMUI 5 to work. Flash EMUI 5 again, then factory reset (on EMUI 5 using EMUI recovery). Boot into EMUI 5 to test - but don't complete the setup. Instead boot into TWRP and factory reset then flash this ROM. You may need to flash TWRP from fastboot again. This is...

It also fills the thread with lots of duplicate clutter that can make it hard to find information when it's needed. So yeah the answer is simple, but if we always repeat the answer this thread will end up being less discussion and more copy/past of the same issues.

RAW images work with the open camera app (from the playstore, has a blue logo). There is also an app in the playstore called Camera2 probe that tests for and shows if the device has support for various Camera2 APIs. I have included the apps output on my device in the images.
