Post I need help with fingerprints android 6.0

If you reinstall an OTA & fully factory reset with no fingerprints set and the FPS still malfunctions after the only thing I could think of is either you installed the wrong version or your FPS is experiencing a hardware problem.

Post I might need some assistance. (EVA-L19)

Can you check in TWRP if it actually says /data is ext4? Which lineage are you trying to install? Don't you need a vendor.zip for some of them?
  5. C

Post I might need some assistance. (EVA-L19)

That just said that /system partition is ext4. That is default even for stock I believe. You need to check for /data.

Post I might need some assistance. (EVA-L19)

Remember that you have to what *a while* for the first boot. Only if you see no change after 5-8 minutes or so something is definitely wrong. Have you checked in TWRP if your /data partition is ext4?

Post Remove warning bootloader unlocked message (EVA-L19)

That is exactly the way how it works. That restores the bootloader after flashing. No DC Unlocker required.

Post Remove warning bootloader unlocked message (EVA-L19)

Don't merge the files. I believe they have the same names so that wouldn't work. Do one after another. You can switch the files from your computer while TWRP is running after each flash.

Post Remove warning bootloader unlocked message (EVA-L19)

That's what I meant. No success? You have to extract the contents of the zip file into the folder called "dload". The folder has to be on the root of your *external* sdcard. You need to do that with all available zips, not just the main one! Otherwise you will be missing some data including...

Post Remove warning bootloader unlocked message (EVA-L19)

Can you try wiping with the recovery before? First try TWRP and if it doesn't work then stock recovery.

Post I might need some assistance. (EVA-L19)

So this "erecovery" never worked in any way for me (the one which offers you to download the latest version). Instead you need the normal recovery you already used. Formatting failed for me the first time too, try it again and then it will try to format "low-level" which worked for me. Go...

Post Update phone with unlocked bootloader and no root?

You may not be able to update normally through the EMUI updater but you should be able to do the "dload" method where you put the update in a folder called "dload" onto your external SD card. That even worked with installed Magisk for me. Of course root may be lost if the update overwrites the...

Post Remove warning bootloader unlocked message (EVA-L19)

You can go back to stock and fully relock your bootloader. But for that you have to "rollback" to Android 6 and after you did that you can update normally trough EMUI to the latest version. Your bootloader will be locked again and the message will disappear. Relocking the bootloader with...

Post I might need some assistance. (EVA-L19)

I'm not educated about DC Unlocker but that is NOT neccesary here. You can easily repair the /data partition by flashing the stock recovery via fastboot, formatting data with that stock recovery and then flashing TWRP again. After that TWRP should be able to read the data partition again. You...

    Post Bluetooth battery drain problem

I don't know but maybe this could actually be a hardware problem. Don't know how to be sure and if it would be worth it to send the device in (in case you still have warranty). Sent from my Huawei P9 using XDA Labs

    Post Bluetooth battery drain problem

Sometimes Bluetooth 4 has compatibility problems with older Bluetooth devices. Maybe you could try turning off one of the devices and check if the battery drain is still there. Things like this can be fixed with a firmware update in case Huawei is going to publish one in the future. Sent from...

Are you sure you have extracted the contents of the zip to a folder called dload on the root of your sdcard and your battery is not low? You can also check the guides to this method in this forum. It also depends on what firmware you are using now but if you already are on b378 it should...

Post p9 twrp 3.0.2-0 /data failed to mount

The data partition of the EMUI roms are different than what for example lineageos needs (I think because of encryption). You need to flash the stock recovery via fastboot, then wipe and format data from there, then TWRP should be able to mount the partition again. In TWRP you can format the...

    Post Flashable L09C432B378

No this should work in any state your device is in regarding what's installed/flashed except when your battery is low. But consider that it will also restore recovery/boot partitions and the bootloader in general.

    Post Flashable L09C432B378

Here you can find any firmware for the EVA-L09 to download. You need to extract the content to a "dload"-folder on your sdcard and start the install by booting with Vol+ & Vol- pressed.

    Post Flashable L09C432B378

You do need to have an unlocked bootloader, then you can enter fastboot mode and flash TWRP. You can flash the full OTA again in case something goes wrong and this does also restore the bootloader lock. Or do you mean to flash the firmware in TWRP?

Post Does this phone have bad kernel?

Yeah personally I can not stand what Huawei does regarding software. Problems like you described are the reason I am indeed using only (yet unstable) custom roms on my P9. But with Root you can at least always try to tweak some things so it works better for you.

Download a full OTA update for your device (eva-l19) and flash it via the dload folder force-update method (Vol+ and Vol-). For me with flashing the EMUI 4 / Android M OTA the bootloader was restored.

Post Unable to Mount /data Huawei P9 L19c636

The data partition of the stock rom is different and not usable with lineage (I think because of encryption). You have to reformat it at first. If TWRP can't mount the data partition, you need to flash the stock recovery, format data from there and then TWRP should be able to mount it again...

Post TWRP wont run on P9

For stock rom try the newest superuser or if it doesn't work the pre-rooted boot image from this forum. (flashed via fastboot) For me I had no success with the superuser install for some reason but the boot image worked.

Post Big problem! boot loop, just not as usual. Can't access adb or fastboot!!

You can actually access fastboot mode by (with phone powered off) pressing Vol-Down and plugging in your USB cable. From there you can flash TWRP and enter adb.

    Post Huawei P9 Bricked!

Another thing to consider is that the Vol+ Vol- method does not work well if your battery is empty/low. Maybe try booting into TWRP recovery (the newest version should work for you) and charging the phone before trying again.

Post Full Return to Original Guide

You need to remember the firmware version you want to go back to (like EVA-L09CxxxBxxx) and install the OTA by copying it on the dload folder on your SD card and powering on with Vol+ and Vol- pressed. You can find the files in this forum. This method works even if you have a custom rom...
