Post [Crowdsourcing] 4G/3G/2G Icon Always Showing Even if Mobile Data is Off

I'm actually referring to a way involving editing system files, not just for some switch in the Settings or something. Thanks for the input, though. :good:

    Post Rebrand-Update-Tool-HWOTA7-P9-EVA

I see. My concern wasn't the fact that it shows 4G (which is good news actually, since there are some areas here in the Philippines that don't get such a signal), but rather the fact that it shows an icon at all, regardless if it was 4G or 3G or 2G. Like what I've mentioned, it wasn't like that...

    Post Rebrand-Update-Tool-HWOTA7-P9-EVA

Hey! 1. Used to have L19C636. Can't remember the exact build number (it's either the B395 or the B399SPO1). 2. That's what I don't understand. My dad owns a Huawei Nova 2i or Mate 10 Lite in other countries (according to GSMArena). His phone doesn't show the 4G icon on top of the signal bars...

You sure you didn't change anything in the HWOTA folder? Have you tried downloading the file again and putting it in C:?

    Post Rebrand-Update-Tool-HWOTA7-P9-EVA

Okay, if you already went back to AL10 Nougat, I think that's fine. You should now follow the steps in flashing the Oreo ROM using HWOTA7.

I had issues when the tool was trying to flash the oeminfo, and tried looking at the build version and it displayed the same. Try doing the steps from the start :good:

Thread [Crowdsourcing] 4G/3G/2G Icon Always Showing Even if Mobile Data is Off

Hello! So I used to have an EVA-L19C636 on Nougat and tried rebranding it to an EVA-AL10 on Oreo. After doing that, I noticed that the 4G/3G/2G icons are always there even if Mobile data is turned off. This isn't the case with Nougat, as it would only show once you turn on Mobile data. This...

Let me check the XML files and see if it's there. ---------- Post added at 04:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:37 PM ---------- No luck. I still can't find the right file to edit. Tried using HUAWEI Multi tool as well, but the icons are still there. Any ideas, Tecalote?

    (1) Then that may be the case. I asked not to confuse anyone, but to know if you guys have any idea. (2). First, that wasn't me yelling. Apologies if that's how it looked like. Just needed to emphasize on the things that I believe matters regarding the issue at hand. Regarding what you...

    Post Rebrand-Update-Tool-HWOTA7-P9-EVA

[/COLOR] Okay, first, I don't think you understood. In the OP's post, he said that initially, we won't have signal and will have issues with the IMEI. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN TO ME. That's what I'm saying and that's what I'm wondering about. I read the whole post. I didn't lose signal and didn't...

    Post Rebrand-Update-Tool-HWOTA7-P9-EVA

Hi. A bit late to the party, but here goes. Was able to rebrand my L19C636 to AL10 Oreo, but just noticed some things that are different from what was stated in the guide. Weird thing is that when I'm supposed to not have IMEI and network, to my surprise, after doing the steps, I had signal...

Post OnePlus 3/3T will get Android P, your move Huawei

Probably he's one of those who still think that people from Huawei run this forum (or at least visit this). A bit bummed that we won't be getting Oreo, but hey just like what they said, it's pretty good for a phone released years ago.

    Post Sandisk ultra dual drive

It should be fine if it's in Reverse charging. In my case, I'm using a USB-C to USB (female) adapter (check Google if you can find one). It works fine, my P9 can even read the contents of my 1TB external hard drive. Probably something wrong with the USB-C part of the flash drive itself?

Post Update phone with unlocked bootloader and no root?

Not sure about Magisk root but there are times that when there used to be root access, even after uninstalling, some files are left behind. This sometimes lead to not being able to install official updates.

Post Unbrick P9 Eva-L19 or where to get logic board

I'm not sure what that means, but can you post screenshots of your recovery? You should be able to access that by pressing Vol+ and Power at the same time. At this point, I think what you should see are options to wipe and all. Can you also post pictures on what happens when you select either...

Post Bricked phone! Stuck in fastboot only, bootloader is locked! Need help, please!

I'm not sure if it's the same for the other versions (L-XX) but for my P9 (L19C363), installing the B394 gave me "dynamic photos" in the Camera app (live photos in iOS) and searching for photos by date, album, etc. in the Gallery app. If what they say is true, that the bootloader being unlocked...

Post Bricked phone! Stuck in fastboot only, bootloader is locked! Need help, please!

That happened to me one, not having a keyboard to use. I think you have to flash the public zip that comes with the full package. Since you're unlocked and have the whole package, I suggest that you do the HWOTA steps then. The post title should be about the nocheck recovery thingy.

Post Huawei Music Player with EMUI 5.0

Oh no, the animations were great. I just didn't like the fact that there was more than just a music player. It was comsuming data and TBH there's no need for that on my end. Everything that was showing on the app were Chinese music anyway.

Post Bricked phone! Stuck in fastboot only, bootloader is locked! Need help, please!

Have you tried wiping everything (data/cache) by using the stock recovery? Volume up and the power button should do it. Then check if it will boot after doing those steps.

Post [SOLVED] EVA-L19 "Software Install Failed" when updating

UPDATE: I eventually was able to install EVA-L19C363B395! Initially, I was having issues with the partitions (as I tinkered around a bit with TWRP) and was stuck with the Huawei logo and not proceeding with the booting. So what I did was I flashed BOOT.img, SYSTEM.img, RECOVERY.img, and...

Post [SOLVED] EVA-L19 "Software Install Failed" when updating

I see. Regarding the dload method, if by sd-card you're referring to the internal memory, I'm afraid I've tried that (creating a dload folder and putting nothing else but the UPDATE.APP file inside) and I'm getting a Software Install Failed error message as well. :crying:

Post [SOLVED] EVA-L19 "Software Install Failed" when updating

Any steps that I can follow to do a sort of "clean install"? As in free of any modifications? In short, some kind of steps as alternative for using System Update (which I can't use due to the error message I'm getting)?

Post [SOLVED] EVA-L19 "Software Install Failed" when updating

Hi noalt! Thanks for the response. Yeah, kinda wondering if that'll work. For the dload method, does it really require an SD card? Also, for the dload method, it is okay to get the latest full package instead? (Upon checking using Firmware Finder, the latest one is B395 or B396)

Hi zgfg! Thanks for the response. Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, it used to be rooted. However, I've installed stock B381 and stock recovery already, and still getting the error message. Checked with Root Checker and it says that there's no root access.

Good morning. I also live in the Philippines. Yesterday, my dad brought home a SU760 from Korea. He asked me to update it to the latest ROM and I did update it to ICS. But after I flashed the ROM, it couldn't get a signal. Tried downgrading it by flashing a ROM of lower version, but it was...
