Yes by "wipe data", I mean factory reset, I know it's radical but that's the only way I found to fix this. I also use the backup and restore tool of Sony to restore my data so wiping data is not a problem for me.

I had this bug at the end of each calls. I just wiped data / cache / dalvik cache and it disappeared.

Format /boot is in the "mount and storage" menu of your recovery ;)

There is no "real" custom kernel for JB ;) Don't flash siyah or franco on LH4.

It's not a themed ICS. I think he applied all AOKP features on AOSP Jelly Bean :p

I think in the post you linked, it's explain how to change the first boot screen (Galaxy S GT-I9000 ...) and not the kernel splash screen (you have to compile the kernel). EDIT : I'm to late xD and thank you stratosk for your explanation ;)

A very good changelog :) I'll give a try when it's done. @orenzah : Did you try CM9 or SlimICS (for example) ? Because, I think ICS is really stable for daily use. For the new thread, I think it's because, now it's Devil3 and not Devil2 anymore.

I'm under the v4.0 and I don't have this issue. It's very smooth, system apps take less than a second to appear. Maybe you should do a full wipe if you didn't ;)
