    Post [APP][MOD][ROOT/NONROOT] YouTube Vanced Edition

I already copied ytva_install_via_magisk.plz into my Download folder and installed successfully, but that has not been required before for Magisk installs. I assume it's an oversight. Edit: Per the official documentation, this step shouldn't be required if you're merely installing the Magisk...

I noticed a separate file on your androidfilehost page called Boot_Insecure_C185B580_Fix-adb_dm-verity-v2.img that worked just fine without any of the Settings errors. I didn't see it before because it's not in the guide.

It's the same issue as above. I can enter most settings, but trying to enter Developer Settings crashes the app, and trying to alter the lock/PIN settings crashes the app. If there is already a PIN on the phone, the phone will refuse to unlock after typing the PIN if I've just installed...

Hi. I did restore the stock boot, which fixed the Settings issue and removed root. Installing Boot_Insecure_B580_Fix-adb_dm-verity-v2.img again still results in the broken Settings problems mentioned above. However, I was able to install SuperSU without installing...

I'm having the exact same problem with my Settings app on NXT-L29C185B580. It occurs after the installation of Boot_Insecure_B580_Fix-adb_dm-verity-v2.img. Wiping the cache and dalvik cache does not solve the problem. Edit: Wiping the data doesn't help either.

Post My gripes with Mate 8

I got this phone a few weeks ago, and I'm also unhappy with it. Specifically, the mirror screen function is super pixelated on my TV and almost unusable. No other Android phone I've used has this problem.

I had the same problem with kltevzw Lineage OS (12/30). None of my text messages were sending even though I had full bars. I reverted back to CM 14.1 (12/25), and the problem went away.

For people having trouble with 5GHz Wi-Fi, I was able to somewhat fix the problem by changing the Wi-Fi channel on my router to something low, like 40. It was on a higher channel when my phone could no longer see it.

It's been a few months, and I'm once again fiddling with the same A701 tablet from before. Do you have anymore ideas with regard to getting CWM Recovery working without my "E:Can't mount /sdcard/" error? I noticed near the beginning of the thread that dsulliii's /proc/partitions disparity is...

Post Azpen A700 Root - ROMs - Recovery and General Info

With the new CWM recovery, the "E:Can't mount /sdcard/" error comes up when I try to flash ZIP from /sdcard or try to mount /sdcard, just like with the other CWM recoveries. Sorry, I should have been more specific. I'm not sure how it works, but I was under the impression that if I were to...

Unfortunately, I did not make a backup of my stock recovery. What confuses me is that the stock recovery provided in post #2 also presumably has problems mounting /sdcard (it shows no contents in /sdcard).

First of all, thanks for taking the time to help me out. I re-flashed the stock recovery (I had to use the IMG on your mediafire page instead since I can't flash ZIP files without being able to mount /sdcard/ from CWM recovery). While I'm no longer seeing the error from before, the stock...

I've tried mounting/unmounting from CWM's mounts and storage menu, but I still receive the same error. I don't know how I would pull up an ADB terminal on my computer while CWM is running without a functional USB port. I've been using Terminal Emulator within Android.

Post Azpen A700 Root - ROMs - Recovery and General Info

I'm 100% sure it's an Azpen A701. Might it have anything to do with the fact that I'm on ICS 4.0.4 and not JB? Fortunately, I can still boot into regular Android. I'll try re-downloading and re-flashing CWM build 5. I've already tried a factory reset, but I'll probably try that again too since...

How would one go about checking this? It's my internal storage I'm talking about, and I had no problems mounting it with my stock recovery. I also don't know how one would go about reformatting the internal storage, particularly when CWM recovery cannot mount it in the first place. On an...
