I searched for a way to create kdz/tot files from a lg phone but don't seem to find a way to do so. The hardware of US610 and k450 should be identical except that US610 ones come with 2gb ram vs 1.5gb ram on k450, and us610 is a cdma phone... Now I am just hoping that x power gets nougat update...

use a kdz file to restore your phone first. Check in the forum for root methods that are available to the different versions then decide which kdz to flash.

But if the bootloader is locked it probably would refuse to boot unsigned image? And the flashing process may also check for signed hash?

Um, the ram usage does seem kind of high. I got a moto g with 864 mb total available, and even with UC browser opened the ram usage is only ~270 mb (PAC room recent ram usage bar).

You cannot even try to do "dirty" installation as the system partition has to be reformatted. Wiping dalvik cache and cache is always done for installing any new roms.
