That's some useful feedback all the same - It really is making me consider whether it's worth all of the fuss. I do have a backup, thankfully, and I've used it numerous times but none the less I can imagine I case where the vast majority of .apk will need to be kept in any case. If nothing else...

My G1 certainly takes a little while for the screen to turn on, especially if in standby (If I'm using the phone in portrait and open keyboard then the transition is much quicker.

I reset using the option in the settings menu. As said previously - Mine saves the "My Downloads". I'd be interested to know if somebody has managed to remove the "My Downloads" (Or at least make it only show installed stuff) but hard reseting some other way? Cheers.
