    Post [Q] [R&D] NST future CM11 &TWRP

New update: no screen burn in anymore : D Other new update while trying the new rom: the usb host just randomly turned on, and when I tried to charge the nook, caused my computer to kernel panic twice. I would sideload the old program used back in 2.1 for usb host, but I cant neither get access...

    Post [Q] [R&D] NST future CM11 &TWRP

Currently running the new build *fingers crossed for no more burn in ;)* And will report on any more burn in(most likely not due to the screen blacking out and finally shutting down XD) Good news: the burn in is basically fully gone, I can only barely see it on any refreshes on full white...

    Post [Q] [R&D] NST future CM11 &TWRP

I was running the original kernel, I believe the one that still had the sleep of death for wifi. And thank goodness your nook got the issues fixed out kinda quick, although mine could just be disappearing quicker due to me trying to fix it more(constant screen refreshes) Also as a little note...

Hey everyone, im back, and good news. Since yesterday, the appearance of the burn in has gotten MUCH better, it is much less prominent compared to when I first noticed it. I am currently flashing a black and white gif to the screen, hopefully thatll help. Image to burn in...

    Post [Q] [R&D] NST future CM11 &TWRP

Hey, just as a little note to anyone trying out the rom, it appears to have "burned in" an image of the homescreen into my nook's eink screen. It seems that whenever you try to shut it down, the device doesnt fully shut down, causing it to be fully drained in the morning. Perhaps this could have...

Post [Q] Custom Kernel CM 11

 Thanks for making me laugh, thats quite hilarious. Even on cm7 only a select few people got 1.4 ghz stable on their device(somehow I didnt burn my nook when trying that out), and to get it on cm 11? pfft. If you really want someone else to, why not just do it yourself and go right...

The first post suggests a gapps package. Id suggest against it though, we only have so much limited ram, you are better off downloading the apps manually, this website is really useful: http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/ as suggested earlier by someone

No need to, it all runs seperate off a SD card. Just find an old 2gb laying around, that works just fine for me. And to kfazz, awesome, ill try that wifi thing out tomorrow when I hopefully get a build working. And I have held the buttons for 10 seconds(even tried through the reboot menu in...

    Post [Q] [R&D] NST future CM11 &TWRP

The twrp recovery zip is used to install the zip to the SD card, nothing internally is touched(although, does that mean that we could use the zip on the internal memory using CWM? I do not know how this sd zip works precisely, but it may be possible to install to the internal memory, no...

For Ghosting, its basically the same as the regular OS, theres issues after a while of use, but I havent seen much from a few hours of trying out the build. Post [Q] When will we get L?

I can guarantee you it will be no earlier than when ever cm12(or what ever the cyanogenmod team calls it) comes out. But also, dont forget that the nook color is a 4 year old device, pretty old by tablet and android standards. Im still surprised that they got cm 11 working okay-ish on it(kudos...

    Post Mulit-core hacks

More cores active would mean more processing power, and more processing power requires more energy(atleast on the same cpu), so disabling most of your cores would result in better battery life, maybe by a little bit though.

Post Seen like 5 different 4.4 kitkat ROMs for nexus

It is easy to compile cyanogenmod, but what stops you from doing it? For the first few months when a new rom comes out, the developers make it so only DEVELOPERS AND BUGTESTERS can have at it, and see what bugs there are, and what improvements they can add to the code. This is meant for the...

Post Bounty Thread: CM6 (Froyo) or CM7 (GB) for Nook ST/ST w/Glow

I cant give much, but I do have a rack server available(xeon 4 core, 5gb of ram) for a developer who wants to compile and help test their rom. I just compiled 4.2 for my nook color, so it should be working without errors. I also have a nook touch and color if anyone needs any proprietary files...

You could have then said that in the original post that it was for a regular Nook Simple Touch without the glowlight. Post [Q] USB host mode in CyanogenMod 10.1.2

There is a limited range for bluetooth, it was actually hidden in the official rom and not enabled until some developers found it out. IF you really want USB host on a newish android version, you might want to use CM9, it still has usb host and I was able to use it a few months ago for a...

Post [Q] Adding browser back to [or fixing] a rooted Nook Simple Touch

The app store search will not work on your nook touch, the only way to install apps are either sideloading them or installing them wirelessly using google play on your computer. You may want to use Opera Mobile instead of the basic browser, it would be easier than getting the stock one working.

    Post [ROM] MROM-Encore [4.2.2][LINARO][CM10.1] build:20131003

The nook color has been able to charge via any usb cable in CM7 the last time I checked and the Nook charging cable should work, unless if there is a problem with this rom and fast charging. Don't do that, it will shorten the lifespan of the SD card and it would make the nook lag.

Post q; current fastest rom (sorry) and picasa photo album software

I thought the question was which newest rom would run the best, a gb rom will still beat the newer ones in terms of the speed of the device. You may want to stick with gb if all that you are doing is using the picasa app.

I said most laptop companies have stopped the ability to switch out the ram and hard drive, not all of them. Just a little googling will get you them: Android on the Raspberry Pi. But you still didnt answer my question of what your uncle's Pi was running. He might just be running android 2.3 which has been released by developers for a while now.

Post [PROJECT][DISCUSSION] IncrediPi | Porting Android for Raspberry Pi

What version of android does your Uncle have running? There have been cyanogenmod 7 running on the Raspberry Pi for a while without any hardware acceleration, the main problem developers are having are getting anything above android 4.0 running without hardware acceleration.
