    I tried running these instructions to upgrade from a rooted 12.0.0 (SD1A.210817.036, Nov 2021) to 12.0.0 (SD1A.210817.037, Nov 2021), with Magisk 23015. Everything went fine but the build number in "About phone" is still SD1A.201817.036, and an OTA update is still available in "System update"...
