I upgraded yesterday. I must say I initially did not like the old tablet interface much but over time came to see its benefits. The new UI feels more like a phone and I struggle a little more than before now that the controls are all centered. However this does not feel like a huge issue to me...

i am trying to dump my rom to sd using tera term as described in the wiki, however, the terminal then tells me i don't have the necessary access rights. any idea? after the scare last evening i'd really like to have a dump before i move on upgrading to wm6. thanks. georgie

you could try the following: reset the pda while holding the camera key. you should then see 3 colored stripes. next plug in the usb cable. if the thing is not totally shot you should see the word 'usb' come on in the lower left corner. try to flash again. worked for me.

not sure why but it is alive again. did an upgrade using the boot loader & there it was. ;) lucky me.
