Check out the stickied thread - 'Getting started' there is a guide to using Flashtool there. It's very simple and easy, and works well.

You can safely flash a .67 firmware. I used the generic ES one and everything works fine, including LTE.

Flashtool does recognize the 6616 firmware for me...

I was wondering what are the default Sony apps that are safe to deactivate (in Applications -> Select app -> Deactivate). Did anybody ever try to remove apps such as Social Life, Sony Select & al. ? If not, let this become our experimentation thread!

I don't know if it's related to flashing the gapps but I've been experiencing problems with the music player. Music randomly stopping playing, removing my headset crashes the phone (goes to S logo and restarts the UI). Can you reproduce these issues? I can provide logcat if you need it.

yup, flashing gapps fixes sync issue.

It's pretty important to be able to sync your contacts. Legend can you reproduce this ?

honest mistake :) everybody knows there are risks associated to flashing stuff. thats why you need to frequently do backups :)

flashed the modem with Cog 1.31 and firmware nin 2.0.2 hopefully going to fix my 3g / h+ switching issue... so far it seems to behave better... well see....

I tried with a different kernel, no cigar. Same issue... Weird. I'm pretty sure it's the modem. Any way to downgrade it? Flash the previous one with Odin? Which modem should I install?

^^^ My device does not show up in adb devices and when using the script it get stuck at 'adb waiting-for-device'. I installed the drivers, reinstalled them, changed usb port, etc.... No luck... Anything I might be doing wrong?
