Mutitasking is virtually impossible. I usually have an app with videos, a PDF reader and the browser open and when I try to go back to either one the tablet had to reload them. Is there a setting/something that can be changed to improve this?

Bluetooth is connected to the car, it has all the permissions on... the car sees the phone as soon as I turn the key. BTW, I know the car is compatible and other owners that I've talked to are able to get android auto running without a problem. That's what is odd about this.

I've tried the debugging mode only and no go. There are other options though, like "Always prompt when connecting to USB", that one is on and I assume it means asking what USB does? Is that the one you had in mind?

Huawei has so many models that they stop giving you uptades over a while, save maybe for flagship phones. And with Google cutting Huawei off, it remain to be seen how things will go. I think they'll still update the M5 to 9.1 but I doubt they'll support it beyond that. BTW, I've seen the S6...

For anyone getting the notification on HiCare, update the phone by clicking there first. It will download something and only then will the full update show up on phone settings/software update. At least that's how mine was.

Downloading it now on an unbranded European 20Pro in Portugal. The phone was jerky like hell so I went to Hicare and it was there... some sort of preparation for the update, only going through Hicare does it shows in settings.

I would also seriously consider that one too if I was in the market for a new phone. Sounds a bit like Apple with their "S" versions, they seem to have improved and fixed the negatives on that one.

Yep, that's the right charger. I think waht's confusing some people is that Huawei's charger works both for the Kirin SOC and QC's but the opposite doesn't.
