Hi. 2 questions. 1. Can you have a second SIM and Micro SD card in the second slot at the same time? Or is you can have the SIM and no Micro SD and vice versa. 2. Which model actually works on band 20 at the moment? In the EU we use band 3/7/20 and i know band 3 and 7 will be fine but band 20...

Korean version doesn't have this issue. Have you tried going in to the hidden menu and enabling 4G manually? Go to the dialer and type- 5457#*838# and then go to band selection and select the 2G/3G and 4G bands manually. The phone will reboot once you save. Bear in mind I haven't tried this...

Post Lg G Pro D838 in the UK

The G Pro 2 works fine in the UK. The only thing that doesn't work is QVoice, but seeing as no one cares about it then it doesn't matter one bit. Still a bit puzzled why LG never released the D837 at all though.

Post LG G Pro 2 - Share Your Homescreen

Yeh It is quite impressive. Giff Gaff are good, I've used them before but I do have to admit O2's 3G coverage isn't anything special. If you're a heavy data user then Three is certainly the network to be on. Especially due to the free 4G and compatibility with your phone.

Post LG G Pro 2 - Share Your Homescreen

4G is good, I get coverage in my house and where I work but tbh the coverage is still quite limited at the moment if you look at the big picture. Speeds are quite good, on average I usually see 20Mbps but i've seen it peak over 40Mbps sometimes. All you can eat is the best thing ever. I used...

Post The G Pro 2 F350S Supports ATT LTE

I'm on Three UK. The Korean version will work on all UK networks for 2G and 3G. It will only work on EE and Three for 4G. It will NOT work on Vodafone and O2 for 4G. So if you want to import the Korean version and have a 4G SIM plan then make sure you're on EE or Three. Otherwise you'll just...

Post LG G Pro 2 announcement and name get confirmed

The Korean Version has the model number F350. The Asian version (Hong Kong) has the model number D838 and was released after the Korean version. Unfortunately the D838 only supports 1800Mhz and 2600Mhz and not the 800Mhz that O2 use for 4G. So the phone will work fine on 3G and 2G but it will...

Thanks for the guide. Now there is small matter of getting LTE working on this Korean version. As the phone thinks its roaming when out of Korea, and therefore defaults to WCDMA/GSM and blocks the LTE option. There is pretty much no way to enable LTE. Does anyone have any ideas?

Post Beware the N7100/N7105 UK Con

This is what Vodafone UK use. (bit in bold) Three UK use DC-HSPA+ cat 24 with speeds up to 42mbps as do EE/O2. Three do not use MIMO at the moment, they use Dual Cell as mentioned above (DC-HSPA+). Therefore the theortical max speed achievable on HSPA+ via Three's network is 21Mbps. The only...
  37. A

Post Beware the N7100/N7105 UK Con

No. You are wrong in that Three are using rel9. They use rel7 and rel8. Therefore if you are in a HSPA+ area you will only see speeds up to 21Mbps. If you are in a DC-HSPA+ area you will see speeds up to 42Mbps. You cannot get more than 21mbps on HSPA+ without DC-HSPA+ I see you just ignored...

Post Beware the N7100/N7105 UK Con

Yup. evolved HSPA has a maximum download speed of 168Mbps+. However, no current network uses that technology, and becides you need Dual Cell HSPA to even get over 21mbps. I suggest you read your linked article again. HSPA starts at 14.4Mbps, HSPA+ has a max speed of 21Mbps (rel7). DC-HSPA+ has a...

Post Beware the N7100/N7105 UK Con

But the thing is that you're not understanding is that they are wrong. If you get over 21mbps in a speed test you are in a DC-HSPA+ area. Do you still not understand this basic concept? Ask your engineer friend if it's possible to get 28mbps on a HSPA+ 21 enabled mast. He will laugh at you.

Clearly you know nothing. The engineer you know is only guessing. How do i know? because he says "there is no way" implying that he is not sure. Again, you're not understanding. Let me give you an example. There is a car in front of you. It has either one of two engines. Engine one has a max...

Post Beware the N7100/N7105 UK Con

I don't think you quite understand. You can not physically get more than 21Mbps on a speed test in a non DC-HSPA+ area. It is 100% impossible because HSPA+ only supports up to 21Mbps. You have to be connected via DC-HSPA+ to get over 21mbps. So if you're getting 28Mbps then you have to be on...
