    Post [KERNEL][AOSP/CAF] [11] IMMENS1TY - X [STABLE] [31-12-2020]

Gpay working? Given the updates to Safetynet features and bootloader checks, has anyone got GPAY working with this, and if so, which rom? Thanks in advance for any help, as GPAY is a deal breaker for me and I'm suffering on Miui.

Post Have I bricked my 9t Pro (Global)

I'm guessing you may have a China rom if it's an 8gb version and definitely if it's 8gb/256gb. Latest fastboot roms can be found here: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/raphael/ I'd try the latest of any rom with clean all. DO NOT SELECT CLEAN ALL AND LOCK unless you're sure its' the...

Post Have I bricked my 9t Pro (Global)

If you have access to fastboot then you haven't killed it. You need to use MiFlash and try different official fastboot ROMS until you get the same as it came with (same rom not neccessarily same version number). Make sure you flash using "clean all and flash" and DON'T select lock. Eventuallly...

    Post (Rooted) Improve performance

I disagree. Once you have the bootloader unlocked officially, if anything goes wrong just reflash an official fastboot rom from Xiaomi using MiFlash and your phone is as good as new. No worries.

Post [RECOVERY][OFFICIAL] TWRP for MIX 2S

When you reboot reboot straight to recovery using POWER & VOL + It should stay after that as long as your reboot to recovery before you reboot to system. Let me know if that helps at all.

    Post Root after Oreo update...

Once you have flashed TWRP, reboot straight into recovery rather than back into the system, otherwise the system overwrites with stock recovery. Once you've done it once it should stick. Hope that works for you.

Post Anyone who installed TWRP and rooted on Marshmallow able to update to Nougat?

Magisk has a few modules for it but nothing like Xposed. I'm going to do a full back up and then see how well ZenUI plays with Substratum as most of the ZenUI Themes are pretty poor and I want an all black theme. I'll let people know how it goes if anyone is interested in using substratum...

Post Anyone who installed TWRP and rooted on Marshmallow able to update to Nougat?

I flashed TWRP from one of the other threads on here filename twrp-3.1.0-0-Z01H-20170408.img to be precise. I then flashed the latest version of magisk the zip found here Then selecting core files only and magisk hide options I have root that passes the latest safetynet checks. No problem.

Post Anyone who installed TWRP and rooted on Marshmallow able to update to Nougat?

This was totally bugging me too but after a whole day of trying I've finally managed it. 1) Go to this thread here 2) Boot into fastboot and flash the boot.img and system.img as suggested in the thread 3) Also flash the original recovery using "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" 4) Go to the...

Post LEAGOO Elite 1 - 5.0" JDI Full HD, Fingerprint ID, MTK6753

Not that alarming, I've just swapped to pin code until it's rectified, for the sake of better battery. All other security policies allow the screen to properly to turn off.

Post LEAGOO Elite 1 - 5.0" JDI Full HD, Fingerprint ID, MTK6753

It's a good phone, feels very premium, great camera. I NEED root but I'm sure it'll come fairly soon. The main complain it that the firmware seems a tiny bit beta. For example, whilst the fingerprint sensor works really well, it keeps the screen on permanently when locked and drains battery...

Post LEAGOO Elite 1 - 5.0" JDI Full HD, Fingerprint ID, MTK6753

I've tried the Engineer mode as well as 3 hardware info apps. None of them give the sensor name, but they all give the same information, that the back camera is 16.3 megapixel with continuous auto focus. What you say about the Honor 6 sounds right as the two are almost exact with the minor...

Post LEAGOO Elite 1 - 5.0" JDI Full HD, Fingerprint ID, MTK6753

It is the MT 6753 as shown in the screenshot below. The rear camera is listed in Antutu as 16.3 mega pixel, and to be fair it is the best camera I've used (which kind of only makes it better than the Honor 6 and the Lenovo Vibe Shot). The screen is incredibly vibrant, and I've had to use Lux...

Post LEAGOO Elite 1 - 5.0" JDI Full HD, Fingerprint ID, MTK6753

So which recovery would I use, does it have to be lollipop compatible? Any help would be appreciated as I really need flash root on this to run xposed if possible... and obviously I need a full backup before risking the inevitable bootloops. Thanks in advance.

Post LEAGOO Elite 1 - 5.0" JDI Full HD, Fingerprint ID, MTK6753

There's not root on the Elite 1 as yet... I would assume that I need root to do this? If not it would be great to find out as I can get a custom recovery and then merely flash the appropriate superuser zip. What do you think?

Post LEAGOO Elite 1 - 5.0" JDI Full HD, Fingerprint ID, MTK6753

I can see a custom recovery coming soon as there's an interesting feature in the Developers Options menu called "OEM Unlocking" which is described as Unlocking the bootloader. Excellent!

    Post [ROM] [4.4.4] [OFFICIAL] LiquidSmooth v3.2 - I9300

Great Start for a beta! I've been living with this for a few days now as my daily driver and it's solid enough, nothing in the way of FC's. The only minor bugs I've noticed are: 1) When receiving a call it doesn't always wake the screen so you have to manually unlock it to take a call 2) The...

Post How can I tell what if a ROM is compatible with my Modem

If you're particularly nervous about it note down your baseband from the settings -->about phone menu and that way you can reflash the same modem after you've flashed a new rom. Chances are that it won't be touched by the rom though.

    Post Indian firmware over German

Ah I get it now, in which case I would be tempted to go to an Indian 4.1.2 firmware through ODIN and the update through OTA if that's possible. That would reduce the chase of stuffing up your EFS by using an official Samsung update procedure.
  25. P

    Post Indian firmware over German

Yeah what you propose seems very straightforward BUT it would be advisable to do a full backup INCLUDING EFS, just check the EFS box in TWRP for instance, as it's not usually included in a backup by default.

Post [Q] S3 stuck at splash screen

I had a similar thing when I was changing between 4.3 and 4.4.2 in which my recovery struggled to mount storage after the system was flashed. In the end I had to flash an old version of Philz CWM, or alternatively flash TWRP and mess about with the settings as where it looked for files...

Post [RECOVERY][GT-I9300] TWRP Flashing using Odin for GT-i9300

And yes it does affect things when you flash it as it changes your recovery from CWM to TWRP which...

I had the exact same experience with my wife's phone that I bought of ebay. I even flashed a variety of RIL's (radio interface layers) and different modems. Post [Q]Superuser Binary needs to be updated?

The simplest place to start is a root checker app (just stick root checker into play store). If it says that you don't have root then you don't simple as that. In which case use CF-AutoRoot program on your pc which will flash both a Custom Recovery (clockworkmod) as well as root... after that...

    Post [Q] Rerooting SuperNexus ROM

The option to hide root in surperSU is still not complete enough for some apps such as the Barclays Banking app. In this case it may be worth trying to use the exposed module designed for hiding root. Plus you can pre-set it on an app by app basis.

Post [Q] Charging status powered off

Nothing to worry about! I've had this frequently on ROMS I've flashed despite the phone actually charging. If it shows that it is taking a charge when turned on it will most likely be charging when turned off, the problem is with the charging ANIMATION rather than the charging. It's a small...
