I did it the same way the suggested me to do: OTA update and I was on 38R before (stock , non rooted nor kernels or whatever it could be) and still this 44S hasn't fixed the problem for me at all!

Hi, I managed to flash in the cameranext.apk from 33R to 25R and it worked fine because I could see the "Clear image" function but.... Right after I reboot my phone, the Clear image function is GONE. SO that means that cameranext.apk from 33R was also gone and was replaced by 25R camera app...

my battery drains too as well just because of this crappy update of firmware (.27) Is there any way to change it back to the previous version (which is .24 I guess? Is this true? Anyone please confirm for me!) Really need to downgrade this bullshit version :/
