I have been bitten by this bug. I called google, they had me run in safe mode and do a full wipe and reboot. The tech support person thought it was due to 3rd party software that I had installed. Sigh. I bought my phone from google direct for around $1000 5 months ago. I think I will try...

I noticed that after the March update I had all kinds of problems getting the red-text boot loop. Seemed to be related to Slot choice for booting. Became very familiar with the: fastboot --set-active=_x command to resolve.

Easy upgrade on my end. I just dirty flashed over 1.3.

Looks like 1.3 was snuck out there. Downloading. As luck would have it I just installed the Feb update.

Same here, I tried to take a shortcut and dirty flashed; all kinds of problems with Carrier Services. CLean flash resolved.

Agree - works well otherwise. I like it a lot , I don't stray too far from a charger.

simultaneous voice & data Can someone else check this for me. With latest 8.1 OPP6.012 my hotspot stops working and I can't send a text when using voice. Used to be the enhanced 4LTE option took care of this but I can no longer find it. Thanks.

I did not know there was an EX kernel compatible with 8.1. Are you using the kernel for 8.0? It is my understanding that the kernel sources are not released yet for 8.1.

There's your problem. Try again without the Pixel Mod.

No. Copy the zip to /system/media and check the permissions.

All works well for me now - not sure what the secret sauce is. I installed the 8.1 from the developer preview site. Then I flashed twrp recovery and dirty flashed SuperXE 8.1 v1.5.1. Phone works, sound picker works etc. Thanks dev for all of your hard work. Have one on me:- Confirmation...

Me too - no solution. Tried toggleing Global / LTE ---------- Post added at 11:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:53 PM ---------- Nothing else. Tested afterwards and it worked OK; was able to connect my laptop to the phone hotspot & browse.

Took me a while to realize I wasn't able to receive calls. Yikes. Roll it back.

No biggie. Hotspot would not work for me on 8.1 until I added: net.tethering.noprovisioning=true to build.prop.

If that's all that's holding you back, using this helped me choose a ring/notification/alarm tone as the default media picker is now no bueno.

This ROM works well for me. Battery life seems excellent as is speed.

You don't have to, but it will nag you about Vendor Image mismatch on boot up until you do.

I had problems with Open Delta, I downloaded and dirty flashed the regular install. After the vendor mismatch, flashed N4F26T from here. Perfection on ice.

Same issue. I was at work with low battery so I flashed back to the previous build figuring it might have had something to do with the open delta download.

Is the long boot up the only problem for you? I have not noticed anything else. I guess it doesn't bug me that much because I don't reboot that often.

I have noticed the same to different degrees. I have not studied it as well as you. I did a clean install after backing up (which is my usual process). I flashed the new vendor image. I gave up on the initial boot - I got the starting double chime but then a black screen. I then reflashed...

The first post recommends N4F26O, I could not find that at your link. I did find it here though.

Same here. For me, this is not unique to this ROM. No different than other ROMs in this regard. I don't know if it is a Verizon thing or a Nougat thing.
