Actually, I figured it out. For some reason, the phone app lost its default priority. So every time I tried to call via my watch, the phone doesn't know which app (phone or google hangout dialer) to open. Resetting the default calling app fixed it.

I used to flash third party roms on my phones. Now I really just want gravity-box via xposed. I wish android would give us some more freedom on customization. I shouldn't need to root and flash xposed just so to have the back button on the right side.

I didn't notice this on the chroma rom, but after flashing stock 6.0.1, this issue appeared. I don't think it is a hardware bug. For me, other notifications are fine. Ring and alarm are the two that are problematic.

Yes, after setting it up I was able to connect to EDGE. But that is only 2g speed. I read online that many people were able to connect to 3g (HSPA+). Some of them mentioned reporting IMEI to ATT. Would this matter?

Using setcpu to set the governor to conserved, and unchecked "always keep wifi on" made standby battery life much better. Still nothing I can do for web browsing. Set it to conserved while using Firefox, but the effect isn't that obvious.

Based on what I observed, browsing xda on Firefox will deplet the battery in roughly 5 hours.
