Is there a way to build the kernel manually? I've stopped using TWRP, but I still love this kernel, so wondering if it's not too difficult a process to build the kernel for my specific build and just flash the image. I'm assuming there is a flag I can set when making?

I would recommend going on firmware finder and downloading a version that matches your specific model, and then install it by using the HWOTA tool.

As joemossjr said, there was an issue with the ROM install. Most likely the stock ROM you installed is a version that doesn't match your oeminfo partition.

There's nothing to fix, you just don't know how to follow instructions. Get back onto STOCK Oreo,make sure your device is working normally. Go into fastboot and install this version of RROS. Then, before booting again, go into STOCK recovery and erase data and cache. The ROM will Boot normally.

No, Oreo uses a different recovery. If you're running Oreo, you must use an Oreo TWRP.

Oreo has been officially released on the P10 Plus for almost a month now.

That will happen if you accidentally flash the recovery partition instead of the recovery_ramdisk partition. The recovery partition needs to remain the stock partition. On Oreo you should only flash TWRP on the recovery_ramdisk partition to avoid issues.

P10 Plus uses different kernel source code then the P10. I don't know how you were able to boot with the wrong kernel...

Anything special you had to do? When I install it via TWRP, RR won't boot for me and I have to restore.

Can confirm my PC is still not detecting the device while in recovery in this version.

Go into ADB, launch shell and use the following command: settings put system isShowNetworkType "0" Restart your phone. You'll now not show the network type while on Wi-Fi. :) NOTE: The isShowNetworkType is CaSe SenSitiVE!

For VoLTE with US/Canadian variants you need to get your /cust and /version partitions from your original firmware and compare them. I'm working on trying to find the exact changes required, but I can confirm if you just replace those folders you should get VoLTE working flawlessly :)

That's odd for sure. If I copy the entire cust partition from my stock ROM which has the option, I don't even get the option in settings. It does give me back my LTE icon instead of 4G for signal, but still can't get the HD icon for VoLTE, even with your mods instead. I'll have to keep searching LOL

So C432 is at build 162, and added VoLTE and VoWiFi to both L09 and L29. I'm hoping this might correct my VoLTE issues. Any plans on a build for this version? Or can you offer me some advice on if there's any files I can try to pull from this build to test on Genesis? :)

It went make a difference. In fact, if you use Blackball 'a ROM after a rebrand you will anyways have a great build and dual SIM. I can confirm dual SIM worked fine on my L09 rebranded to L29.

When you say don't use adaway d I have to uninstall? I didn't install Kang Addon so that's okay. And I'm using SELinux Mode Changer to set permissive. Should I use a startup script instead? SafetyNet is the last thing I need before the phone is perfect :)

Did you have a chance to read my reply to you in the other thread? You'll likely need to rebrand to the build listed in the first post. Unfortunately it doesn't always work unless you rebrand. I will try to find a way to rebrand manually if you don't have the means to use FunkyHuawei :)

Yes it can keep up. I've already got AOSP booting... Now it's just a matter of getting the basics to work before I even release a beta.

I highly recommend the Genesis ROM by Blackball , it's really great. It's what I'm using for now until I can get a working AOSP build created. Hopefully soon, I've been making progress
