Vendor mismatch error pops up with the new update CARBON-CR-6.1-NOCT-WEEKLY-bacon-20180508-0008.zip. Tried reflashing twrp and then flashing the ROM but doesnt seem to go away.

I have the same problem too. Google Phone app says 'This device isn't supported and phone calls may not work correctly'. But the app works fine tough. I'm on android 8.1 one OnePlus One. Running AOSP android.

Same issue here bro. Wifi hotspot seems buggy AF. ShareIT constantly disconnects from the hotspot while transferring files to another device. I'll wait for another week and flash a different 7.1.1 ROM. :( We can however post logcats in LineageOS forum and maybe someone can fix it.

I had the same issue.....twice....first they gave me a new Z3 since it was under warranty. Now I dont have any warranty and my screen is coming off again :( And Xperia screen replacement is really expensive.

Sony didnt include the CameraAPI2 that supports RAW capture. Without that API, no app can capture RAW,.

check whether its working in the service menu. dial *#*#7378423#*#* and check the proximity sensor reading.

if your phone is under warranty, get it fixed.

Hi, I was searching for a new firmware and for my model D6653, I found a Firmware thats a lot newer than the one everyone currently use....it has a build number 23.0.A.2.93 but it is labelled as Internal/Promoter. can I download that firmware and flash it? I'm willing to give it a go or flash...

just connect your bluetooth mouse with usb otg cable and use the mouse instaed of the touchscreen... if the display is totally gone then its not possible to backup data from internal storage.

guys, can you pelase confirm it the replaced screen is the same as the original? I had it replaced but the screen I got is not the same as the old one..while viewing in extreme sunlight, i could clearly see the LEDs on the display...but now all i see are vertical dots...seems like they fitted a...

had the same issue...just reformatted on PC using hp disk format utility and uncheck quick format, set the format type to exFAT. THen insert into phone and it works fine...of course evrytime u reboot phone youll get the same error...just unmount the sd card and reinsert it while the phone is ON...

I had a similar issue but my phone had that color all over the edges and they did replace it under warranty. But mind you the screen they replace it with is not the original sony display. It looks and works OK but i dont think its the original one. Also I doubt the gorilla glass quality after...

Well in that case, go to the nearest Sony center and ask the guys there to fix the issue. Usually fastboot should work but since it doesn't, only they can solve it.

There are plenty of wallpapers out there. Just get the one what fits your color. White is the best as you wont notice any fingerprints where as black is a fingerprint magnet.

Official one? NO. Unofficial ROM? Yes. But remember to flash your dual SIM patch.

The problem is not with my internet :( I used older version of xperiafirm on the same network using no proxy and it worked perfectly. I downloaded most of my firmwares then, for Z3 and Z Ultra. The latest version and the one bundled with flashtool is causing the issue. Sorry I didnt mean to be rude.

I can see the servers/URLs you guys are using to upload updated source files are not accessible in most countries. Try using one that is accessible and no one will post another 'cannot connect/update/not working' post here.

No. You cannot. You need to disassemble the whole thing before installing the sticker. Also, you need another sticker for the back screen as well.

Same here. Temperature gets to 60+ degrees while on 3G plus facebook/whatsapp. I will try resetting to stock and check if it fixes the problem.

Say goodbye to your camera. Get it replaced if possible.

Hi Guys, I found a thread on phonearena where they claimed to root the Z3 without the need to unlock the bootloader. I tried it once but it didn't work but after tweaking it further, it worked finally :D Download required stuff from the link below...

No use going to SONY service center also. They will blame us stating that we didn't close the dumb flaps properly. :( Sadly your phone needs motherboard and display replacement.

That is why i added the word 'before'. I asked him whether he did the test before taking it underwater. :)

have you tested your pressure sensor reading before taking it underwater?? to test it, simply dial *#*#7378423#*#* and check your pressure sensor reading. If it increases on applying pressure, its waterproof. And by the likes of it, your motherboard is gone and so is the display.

App Problem. No need to worry as long as your phone displays stuff fine.

Hmm if it happens often, return the device. There seems to be some issue with the camera. I use mine and it does heat up after taking 10-15 photos at 20MP but never closes due to overheating. I live in India and temperatures here are around 36-38 degrees C.

No luck for the Indian Z3 also. :(

My Z3 overheats after taking about 10-15 pics in manual mode. Video recording is ok for about 15 min.

Mine has one too. Camera has a focus problem while taking macro shots...although I dont know if its related to the rattling sound. Better go and check if other Z3s has the same problem then get it replaced.

Totally agree with you. It' s just that Sony did a dumb thing with those DRM keys so Devs had to wait till a root without unlock has been found which delayed new ROMs from landing on the Z3. Now Sony released all the sources and yet it's difficult to get the ROMs work. :( ---------- Post added...

How about having a Bug Free AOSP inside the Z3. Isn't that the whole purpose of this thread. :)

Ditch that stock Google calendar app and switch to Sunrise Calendar. It's pretty awesome :)

You can alternatively connect to the PC suite and transfer data. PC suite has a built in data transfer tool.

For me the same problem occurred when I was in a shopping mall that had poor signals. My battery dropped like from 63% to 15% in less than 2 hours. I checked the battery usage and mobile signal is the one draining it all. After reaching home and charging it, everything worked fine.

Yup...just moved some pics taken in a LG G3 via bluetooth and as soon as I opened them on Z3, it kinda added that extra punch to those images. And you can see it happening before your eyes. If you really want to see xReality in action, I suggest you do the same.

Try putting your phone in Airplane mode and check whether the issue persists.

I have a query. I dropped my Z3 from shoulder height and the back glass cracked right from the middle. I want to get it replaced but i'm afraid that the phone will lose its waterproofing ability. Can anyone tell me whether changing rear glass affect the phone's waterproofing ability?
