It's fine, I can understand that the beta are too frequent to fix the issues for. Thats why I'm fine using aillez app to get the google camera working.
for me after installing the op5 dot fix v2.3 module the lightroom mobile and open camera apps are not able to save the dng file, to use those apps I have to disable the module in magisk and restart the phone.
Maybe this is because I'm on open beta 12 for OP5.
I have attached a log file below if...
The modified library still breaks every 3rd party camera app's ability to capture raw dng file ( i use lightroom mobile to take raw hdr pics, and open camera for bracketed raw files which doesn't work after installing modified libs).

Also in extreme low light the OnePlus stock camera in OnePlus 5 switch to the secondary lens automatically like it does in the OnePlus 5T, so it seems like It seems like the dots fix mod is using the 5t camera drivers, if we disable the mod eyerything works as expected.
after using Camera_lib.zip for dot bug in OnePlus 5 in extreme low light the default camera app is automatically switching to the telephoto lens, also 3rd party camera apps are not able to take raw dng pictures.
after using the magisk module fix for dot issue with google camera, 3rd party camera apps are not able to take raw dng pictures. I have attached the log for opencamera and lightroom mobile.

Try the one linked in this post.
I haven't installed 5.0.1 so don't know if it will work.
I can replicate it in stock camera sometimes, even sometimes portrait mode images using stock camera have some dots in it.
But any 3rd party camera app using camera 2 api will always have dots when shooting in raw as per the oneplus post, google camera also uses camera 2 api so I don't think the...
If you don't need compression just use the 2nd module without compression.
Also changing bitrate to 100Mbit/sec for a small mobile sensor is not going to improve the video quality.
Quick update:
Added Magisk Module
Decreased the video bit-rate by around 40%
Video is currently recorded at following bit-rate
4K at 24Mbps (default is 42Mbps)
1080p at 11Mbps (default is 20Mbps)
720p at 8Mbps (default is 14Mbps)
My mod currently records video at
4K @30Mbps (default is 42Mbps)
1080p @15Mbps (default is 20Mbps)
720p @8Mbps (default is 14Mbps)
which is already lower than the default settings.
I will try to further lower these values over the weekend if it doesnt effect the video quality negatively.
HEVC/H.265 is a new encoding method which allows for same quality videos at a lower file size. The only issue is not every devicce support HEVC/H.265 natively.
You can read more at the link below...
I was able to modify OnePlus 3T to enable HEVC/H.265 video recording at 4k, 1080p & 720p resolutions. I have also reduced the bit rate for the video so that it will take less storage space.
Note - Take a backup of your 'media_profiles.xml' located at system/etc/ before attempting this mod.

Glad to hear that its working.
Size difference is little due to the fact that I haven't reduced the video bitrate much as I didnt have time to compare the difference in quality between those two, I will do it most probably this weekend and update it if necessary.
Can you test with some 3rd party camera app such as open camera to see if it records in hevc?
Maybe its an issue with stock camera app, will look into it again in case if I missed something.
The below attached file have hevc recording enabled only for 1080p videos, you can test if the app...
media_profiles.xml needs to be modified to enable hevc encoding. You can check media_codecs.xml file in /system/etc/ to check if your phone supports hevc encoding, or if you want me to look into it just upload these two files and I will have a look.
There is actually a mod like this for OnePlus 3 https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/mod-hevc-h-265-encoding-enabled-t3586792
Try it out. If it doesn't work then I can try to do it for 3/3t.
Yeah, OnePlus really screwed their camera API this time, none of the 3rd party camera apps works properly with oneplus 5.
You can see the issue in this video if you look closely (moving vehicles are jerky)
