Sorry for the late reply, But I sold my phone. it took so long to get repaired that I had to buy a oneplus, it's a shame that this phone with incredible specs has so litle love from it's own brand.

have you done a full wipe wen you installed .23 version? have you checked if you have whatsapp camera permissions enabled?

do a full wipe and flash it again, it will resolve that

in twrp you have to go to advance wipe -> select everything except internal storage, then wipe

Thanks for the feedback, I cant make full screen contact pictures because it will cover the on screen buttons. For that you must use another contacts app. The contacts pictures is as big as i can get without breaking on screen buttons
