    Post [APP][1.6+] Link2SD

It might not be an issue with link2sd. I tried again by link the dalvik cache of all the linked apps and rerun the mount script, did not see the same issue anymore. "Relink dex files at boot" remains unchecked.

    Post [APP][1.6+] Link2SD

Well, I have the similar issue with the LG stock 4.4.2 ROM running ART. If I linked dalvik cache and chose "Relink dex files at boot", every time I reboot the phone, android OS starts to upgrade/optimize a bunch of apps, which could take a long time. So I ended up without linking the dalvik...

same thing here. lg optimus one/froyo 2.2.2 with custom kernel. just a flash of the app window, never be able to open. uninstalled the app, reboot, reinstall, same thing. worked before without any problem, so I think the latest update from market is broken.

so rom manager can trample the normal OS boot sector by flashing a recovery? now that will be bad. you might need to email the developer to file a bug report. again, never happened to me though. yeah, I see your point. but before go to that step, how about pull the battery and reinsert to see...

it never happened to me. look at the rating on market, do you think all the users are morons? yeah, you guys had some bad experiences and hated this thing with a passion, but get the fact straight. sometimes it may not be rom manager but something else that bricked your phone. not trying to...

Post [Q] What is the best way to backup my LG P500?

ok, my understanding is that in order to use nandroid backup, your phone has to be rooted first. in the link you posted about rooting GB 2.3.3 ROM, it only mentioned using astro file manager to backup the apps. nowhere it mentioned nandroid backup. if you are rooting a froyo(2.2/2.2.x) based...

nice job, I like it. I am using my own tweaked stock 2.2.2. I think froyo is working great for p509. so why choose the mik's kernel instead of franco's or fserve's latest version? :)

    Post [KERNEL][06 DEC] Goldenleaf .v111206 / franco.Kernel-gbs.v20a

ClockworkMod probably formats as ext4 now. just did one not long ago. but well, I do not see why we are debating this choice here. why not support all of them? the current kernel supports all ext type already right?

Post What do you prefer and why ? [Froyo or Gingerbread]

well, I used to think so, but it is not that simple by just looking at the Quadrant score. try to play games such as "brothers in arms 2", froyo stock rom is much smoother than the cm7 port. I'd love to stay with cm7, but sometimes it just does not perform well. even if you look at Quadrant...

well, saw your post in dev section. I can confirm that generally the default BFS version should work with stock Froyo ROM. I just updated to 14e yesterday(and many versions before that :) ). Took a bit long to boot(1-2 mins at "android" logo), but it booted OK. Just this one incident, need...

I am not sure if you need to wait 15 minutes or not. I faced this issue recently, not stuck at LG logo, but at "android" logo stage of the stock Froyo ROM after the phone crashed in the middle of a game(gbs-v14 kernel). Pulled the battery for 3 time, the 4th time it booted. Maybe you could...

Great job! Now the storage usage persist during the reboot. :) Tried to use "Relink library files" option, freed up more space. Great! But looks like this operation could take a long time, the link2sd app become unresponsive after applying this. Had to end the app manually. Not sure if this...

Post [discussion]LG P500 mik_os's port of cyanogenMOD7, problems, questions, and answers.

That's not a feature, but a bug. :) Kidding aside, yeah, just go back to stock Froyo Rom then. I think that CM7 might look fast in Quadrant score, but I do not feel it in any real use. BTW, you can still use Franco's great kernel though. OC and stuff like that.

    Post Benchmarks on CM7

OK, I am starting to distrust the random number generator such as Quadrant. I have only one benchmark: Run Avatar 3D game on your ROM+kernel. Who can smoothly run this thing in the later stage of the game(like Chapter 5), who won the contest hands down. Anyone?

Same thing here. I heard the ringtone, but the phone I called did not ring. Goddamn PBXes probably disabled the outgoing GTALK trunk or block my outgoing call or sth like that. mine worked for a month, but now I cannot place a single call. Be aware, there is no free lunch.
