i would go for a toshiba satellite. they do ship out with quad cores and decent graphics cards, and the top notch harman/kardon speakers never fail to impress

try using lookout security (free)...just to see if any apps you have downloaded are contain malwares. i also heard such reboots can be caused by external wifi scanning/searching apps.

i have to agree that the stock browser is fast, but unfortunately what put me off was the force close every time i leave it running in the background with facebook mobile as one of the pages. the only way to stop this from happening is if i close the facebook tab and then leave the browser...
