Post FlymeOS for LETV X800+ US

Ok, I'm quitting this ROM. Everything is working great, except for the camera, which freezes if you switch from back to front camera. It also malfunctions if you move it too fast or sth.... So it's not possible to use it normally.

Post [Completed] JIAYU F2 bloatware problem

I flashed the same ROM on the phone again and now the phone responds fast again. I've got 1,5gb/2gb available now after clean install of rom. Which anti malware/anitivrus do you recommend to avoid this in the future?

Post The strange case of recurring malware

thanks for the reply. I'll try flashing the existing ROM again and see if I get rid of it. There's also some info on that on https://blog.avast.com/2013/10/23/no-pleasure-from-this-adult-app-only-pain/ edit: It worked! :) I flashed the same ROM on the phone again and now the phone responds fast...

Thread [Completed] JIAYU F2 bloatware problem

Hi guys, hope you can help. I've had a Jiayu F2 for almost one year without any problems. About a month ago I started getting some chinese writing (like a link to some website) in the notification area, but it didn't cause any trouble. Yesterday it all went down the drain. In the morning adds...

Post Old Android Phone and RPi's CPU&memory power combined

I only want to enhance the performance of the Rpi, since it's a bit laggy sometimes (primary use is XBMC media center). To further expand my imagination... What about using only the phone's touchscreen as a display?

    Post Elephone G6 - 5.0" IPS screen, MT6592 1.7GHz with fingerprint scanner

Has anyone tried the honzikd's patch to resize primary partition LINK? is it safe and can I expect any trouble with the phone after doing this? Which app (CWM recovery?) do I use to backup all files on my phone and can I also backup the apps I have installed? Please advise... And about the...

Post Old Android Phone and RPi's CPU&memory power combined

Kind of... :) I'm thinking of simultaneously sharing phone's resources (CPU and RAM) and also other hardware (BT, GPS sensors, gyroscope, etc.). To enhance the RPi without having to buy all of the components that are already in the smartphone? And instead make use of them?

Post Old Android Phone and RPi's CPU&memory power combined

Yes, I've seen multiple Rpi's connected together. But to recycle old phones, is there no option to connect and use them via GPIO?

    Post Elephone G6 - 5.0" IPS screen, MT6592 1.7GHz with fingerprint scanner

As said before... At beginning the battery life was short, after a few charges it will get a bit longer. Then also try all the tips that are described in the previous posts (ART mode, disable GPS, Wifi), 2D rendering, etc. Aha, so the internal storage can only be made available by a ROM...

Thread Old Android Phone and RPi's CPU&memory power combined

Hey guys, I've been thinking of how to put my old Android phone to good use (aside from using it as a remote for RPi). What I had in mind is, if it is possible to boost Rpi by somehow making Android's CPU power and memory available to the Rpi. Let's say for instance I have a phone with a dual...

Post Airplay Mirroring finally works on Raspberry Pi

    Post Elephone G6 - 5.0" IPS screen, MT6592 1.7GHz with fingerprint scanner

Is it possible to improve the audio settings, internal storage assignment which are in honzikd's custom ROM by accessing Engineering mode *#*#3646633#*#* and Test mode *#*#33#*#* ? I don't feel like doing the custom recovery and reinstalling ROMs and it would be a lot easier if I could just...

    Post Elephone G6 - 5.0" IPS screen, MT6592 1.7GHz with fingerprint scanner

The only thing worrying me after one month is the battery life. After it hits 50% the battery drains really fast (even with wifi and data usage off) and shuts down. I switched to ART instead of Dalvik in developers mode which was supposed to extend battery but I didn't notice anything special...

    Post Elephone G6 - 5.0" IPS screen, MT6592 1.7GHz with fingerprint scanner

That's great news! I was hoping that Elephone brand would be a bit more responsive than other chinese brands, especially with all the hype around G6 phone. I think it is one of the bestselling phones in the last 2 months, and that means more users=more support=more updates=happy user :) As...

I tried to listen to some music. It is pretty pleasant to listen to. Overall volume is LOUD (at 70% I couldn't increase the volume anymore). The bass notes are OK, I wouldn't say that trebles are high... It also has an Audio Enhacer for earphones or Volume booster for speakers option in the...
