I had the same isssue something back. Possibly you are locating your location by searching city name. Turn on your location and let weather wiget search ur city. Then check on ur lock screen. Hopefully this is work.

You can flash v6 over v5 by wiping dalvic and cache. No data will be lost but it is not recommended by AC. You may face some issues after dirty flashing.

I have not faced any screen rotation problem. P.S. : I have clean flashed v6 and using it for more than 15 hours.
