I found the fix.I set the lock to none and then back to pin and that did it.

I use a pin to lock my phone. Whenever I have an incoming call I can't answer it before I unlock the screen. The screen doesn't light up either during a call unless I press the power button. This is a pain in the backside.anyone else have this problem?

I only just sold my note 2014 to fund the nexus 9. It was nice, very stable for me and once it got the KittKat update a month or so ago it was very smooth. Negatives - it creaked(build quality) and only got KittKat last month. For the cost I couldn't forgive either faults.

My Nexus 5 with 2GB of RAM has never had any performance problems. However my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (just sold it to fund the Nexus 9)with 3GB RAM was ocasionally lagging. The OS optimisation is the key I believe.

That is incredibly lucky. Unfortunately mine fell off the sofa from less than 3 feet high on it's side and the screen cracked to such an extent that it no longer responded to touches. :(
