Yeah, with the stock vbmeta, if you flash anything other than the signed stock image to system you can't get into recovery either, even if it is untouched. I'm not surprised that the same appears to apply for unsigned images to recovery.

All the people who sold their phone before placing an order on the Play store must not have lived through the Nexus 7 debacle. I ended up just picking mine up at Staples for that deal, got it sooner than most of the people who preordered. I can only imagine being out a decent smartphone for 3 weeks.

I almost think there is something about the gs3 hardware plex doesn't like. Runs terribly for me on every rom I've tried, cm or not. However, it works just fine on my nexus 7 (which is on a cm10 based rom.) Or a least as well as plex ever runs, I swear that app feels like a pre-alpha.

Yeah, goes to a two pane mode in landscape. Used it on my tab 10.1 all the time. No point to use it really without two pane, webui is better. New update sounds really cool btw.

I've noticed on my sprint phone that as the phone gets warm the upper limit that the CPU can scale to seems to be reduced. The day I got it the first quad run was about 5k, but after 30min of nonstop usage the next run was down to 3.5 or so. Check it yourself with setcpu, it will start capping...

There was a build a few days ago that caused (recoverable) bricks. The listed build under timestamps does not brick. However the wifi and mobile data don't work due to some driver issues, might as well wait till the next build where they work again.

Same result. Any idea what's causing boot manager to fc on this rom, it lists compatibility for gnex, so I would assume it has some ics support. Have to go to recovery to get back to my normal rom, no big deal, just an extra step. Tried turning compatibility mode off and disabling logging on su.

Going to try it out after work. Podcasts on my phone are maintaining my sanity right now.

Ha I had a HTC wallaby and a wizard. Actually got the wallaby bricked in the first place, so I got used to the process. Umbrella, I didn't lose any customization doing the emmc_recover, just ran it, booted to recovery and flashed back a good boot.img for my normal rom.

This is exactly what I got. I booted I to Linux and ran emmc_recover and was fine. To the people saying roms don't brick phones, I would generally agree, like I said in my post I couldn't say if the build or boot manager is at fault, no idea how either would make it so I had to reflash hboot...
